I had my first lesson today and have never had any experience in music theory or the piano. Not only did I learn about the instrument itself, but I also learned how to read some notes and play two songs in just one lesson! I highly recommend!!!
José is an amazing teacher. I am A 70-year-old woman, I have always wanted to learn music theory. Jose took me under his wings and I have been taking classes for a few years now. I have become great friends with his beautiful mother, Paloma..
My 3 1/2 year old granddaughter had a great time. He was very patient with her attention span. A big icebreaker is his dog Angel. Kaylee will try music lessons again when she is just a bit older.
Lucy is a friendly and patient teacher! I had absolutely no music experience prior to our lessons but that didn't bother her one bit! She is always so encouraging. I look forward to my piano lessons every week!
I highly recommend lessons with Amy. Her teaching style is rooted in a deep understanding of music theory, and a love of teaching that keeps lessons fun and motivating. I leave every class excited to practice and improve!
Jim is an awesome teacher of music theory and the guitar. His love of music and enthusiasm for the guitar will inspire you.
At first I was skeptical taking music theory from someone who is a piano player and not a guitar player like myself, but I was extremely impressed with his vast music knowledge and concepts/teaching methods. I now look at my instrument and practicing in a whole new light. I'm starting to improvise and write my own music now. If you're looking at taking your playing/musical talent to the next level then I would definitely recommend Ryan.
I have taken my children, 10 and 15, to many studios for their music lessons. Both of them started around 7 years old. Over the years, I have seen many types of teachers or teaching methods. Ms. Ettelson, among all, in my opinion, is the only one with a balanced approach of classical, Suzuki, theory, and individual-specific method. Sitting in her classes with my child makes me feel that I should pay for the lessons as well, in addition to paying for my child, because it is very inspiring when she naturally conveys critical concepts and demonstrates techniques to overcome difficult parts. There is just so much more packed into any one lesson of hers. If you like music, you will love her piano lessons. If you love music, like me, you will appreciate the inspiration from this performing artist.
While I was walking to Xin's front door for the first time, I heard Xin playing the violin so brilliantly from outside the house. I knew right away she was super talented. We first spoke on the phone about my unique request to have lessons and to also have someone perform alongside with me at an event. It was important for me to find someone that was flexible with timing and Xin was. In addition, she is very technical and offers very useful and beneficial tips on improving tone and timing. I highly recommend Xin as a top violin instructor.
Stan is an excellent music teacher .he listens to you and prepars you to succeed.. Stan has shown me not only how to play guitar he is teaching me to read and will get around to writing later that's a whole different game I will be taking my voice lessons Will be taught by Stan .. he is a all around music teacher .. definitely recommend him to anybody who wants to learn MUSIC..
Amy was willing to come to me for my music lessons when I was unable to travel to her. Her professionalism is at a high standard and her musical knowledge is wide in scope. She is also an excellent teacher for adults and children, singles or groups. She's just plain awesome.
We've been going to Mr. D for 4 years. He is an amazing pianist and has a lot of tools (fun worksheets, songs, games) to help motivate kids to learn piano and piano theory. He also uses positive reinforcement (praise and stickers).
Josh is by far the best teacher I've ever had for learning piano and I've been getting lessons around the Houston area for close to six years now. Highly recommend to anyone of any experience level.
Me. Pat was my daughter's first piano teacher. She taught her her for 2 years - until we had to move to Austin. Ms. Pat had the right balance of patience and firmness for her students. This allows them to push ahead with understanding both trh instrument and music in general. My daughter made it into a very competitive percussion group (which includes keyboards) because of Ms. Pat's teaching. I highly recommend Ms. Pat for piano lessons!
I had a positive experience so far.
The Piano teacher arrived on time, very good with the kids and had a lot of experience.
I promised myself that I would take piano lessons when I could finally find time to fit it in. And I am so glad I did. Douglas Loomis is an excellent teacher. I have been studying for a little more than 3 years now (I am an adult) and I have grown by leaps and bounds. Douglas is a very caring teacher. But he also insists on students learning to play musically and with the correct technique. Douglas communicates and demonstrates musical concepts so that students can grasp the ideas and incorporate them into their playing. He wants his students to feel successful in playing and performing. He is outstanding! Maggie Hubbard
I have worked with Sean and Exteme Sound Productions for 2-3 years with all of my events and it has always great experience. Sean is very professional to the guests and staff. He is timely, entertaining and plays all styles of music so my customers stay longer and have a great time. I also started guitar lessons with Sean about 6 months ago and it also has been a great learning experience. He is patient and works with me at a pace i wont get bored with and at the same time keeps the flow at a level i can retain and digest every week.
