FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge more for elementary, middle, and high school students than college students. If you have more than 2 hours of tutoring sessions a week, I will also assist with other subjects as needed and provide more services (organizational, studying, note-taking skills, for example). I also provide incentives for referrals (free tutoring service, letters of recommendation......).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I would like to get to know my student and his/her parent as well as what is expected. I prefer to get all information possible (test grades, test results, course curriculum, teacher's information.....) before starting the tutoring session. It is important for me to do as much background work as possible and prepare well for the lesson in order to make it productive. I keep a folder on every student with all the pertinent information. I also like to assign homework as an effort to close any learning gap as much as possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a wide variety of skills accumulated over the years that contribute to my experience as a tutor. I was previously a Sales and Marketing professional for a frozen food manufacturer. I am also an investor, a parent, an educator, a tutor, and a mentor.
