- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Since each Client situation is unique, it is not possible to quote an exact price for Tax Return Preparation in advance of the engagement. We can provide a range for each type of tax return, but there are several factors that dictate what the final tax preparation fee will be. Our pricing is generally based on the forms included in the tax return; the complexity of the tax return; and the organization of the data provided by the Client. You can find more information about our fee structure by visiting our website. Thumbtack doesn't allow a link here but you can go to the top menu at the site where it has the word Tax Accounting. Click on that tab and then click the Tax Preparation tab to see the Fee Schedule. You can look at your last year's tax return and easily calculate what the fee would be by looking at what forms you had in the return last year and knowing which forms will be included in the current year tax return. Sometimes Clients just want questions answered about a tax position or situation. We can do that as well. Everything is outlined on our web page as described above. If you have prior year tax returns that need preparing, we can handle those for you too.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It couldn't be easier to have your taxes prepared than when you hire MIS Tax Pros to do this for you. Everything can be handled remotely. You will be provided with login information to access a secure portal where your documents will be sent. You will be sent an electronic checklist of the documents we will need to prepare your tax returns. Some information can be downloaded directly from the issuer to our system. Other items can be scanned in and uploaded to the secure portal. You can even snap a picture with your cell phone and upload them that way. Most tax returns can be signed and filed electronically. It really couldn't be easier. You never have to leave your home or business again to have your taxes prepared.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Science in Taxation from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Science in Information Systems from The University of Texas at Arlington. I'm an Enrolled Agent.
