FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every job starts with a free quote — just text a photo of your stump(s) and we'll give you a price on the spot. We have a $150 job minimum, which covers the cost of bringing the grinder out even for a single small stump. Beyond that, pricing scales with stump diameter and how many stumps we're grinding in one visit — multi-stump jobs get a better per-stump rate. We offer a discount for active-duty military and veterans; just mention it when you reach out for a quote. There are no hidden fees — the price we quote is the price you pay, unless the scope changes once we're on site (for example, a stump turns out to be much larger below grade), and we'll always tell you before doing any extra work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Text or call us a photo of the stump(s) along with a quick description — how many, roughly how big, and whether access is tight. We'll send a free quote, usually the same day. Once you approve it, we get you on the schedule, and most jobs are completed within a few days of booking. On the day of the job, we grind the stump down below grade, and you choose whether to leave the mulch on-site (handy for filling the hole back in) or have it hauled away. Payment is collected once the work is done and you're happy with the results.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Get a couple of quotes and ask what's actually included — some companies charge extra for haul-off, root raking, or grinding below grade, so make sure you're comparing apples to apples. Ask how deep they grind, since that matters if you're planning to replant grass or a tree in that spot, and check recent reviews for how the crew left the yard, not just whether the stump is gone. A company that's upfront about pricing and timeline before ever showing up is usually a good sign.
