Introduction: Sandi Tindal has been interested in the nuances of how people move all her life. She has invested much of her ongoing studies in human biomechanics and comes from a noteworthy career of engineering. Teaching clients the relationship the breath has with the spine is central to her work; from this foundation each individual can ultimately learn how to change and improve their own structure to support their daily activities and interests. Maintaining orientation around the breath also facilitates addressing concerns in other dimensions of a person’s being such as energy level and mental-emotional health. Sandi is enthusiastic about helping others explore the mind-body connection and enjoys seeing her clients gain greater self-understanding through their breath and movement consultations. She finds the insights that surface motivate them in navigating life’s challenges and propels them towards their own personal growth and transformation. Serious inquiries only please. Private Yoga Instruction

Sandi has been a true gift in my life. I have a lot of weight to lose and I want to develop a healthier lifestyle that includes yoga. Sandi is very kind and patient. She has modified poses for my needs right now. She is not only teaching my yoga, she is teaching me to listen to my body and to understand how it works. She helped me put together a schedule that fits my schedule. I feel very lucky to have connected with her. She is exactly the right person to help me achieve my goals.

Private Yoga Instruction

She was on time and so nice! The girls had a blast! Professional and child friendly! My newly turned 5 year old decided to join in with the girls and she went with the flow. Very easy to work with. My daughter wants to do yoga with her again so will book again in the near future!! Thanks for a great afternoon!!

Private Yoga Instruction

Several years ago, I broke my femur and since then I have had issues with my legs. I have recently developed arthritis due to my leg trauma and weight gain. I decided to start yoga due to the limitations of my legs and it was an excellent decision I have made. Sandi is amazing and has catered my lessons to take into consideration my bad leg. My first experience with yoga has been great. I now feel like I can combat my weight gain and gain strength back in my legs by doing yoga because I cannot do typical high impact cardio exercise. I have gained a new appreciate for yoga and encourage all to look into yoga.

Sandi has a wonderful approach and makes everyone very comfortable during her practice. She is very good at understanding people's conditions and how to work with them. I enjoy not only her classes but would really recommend private sessions. She really takes to the time to focus on your needs and is very compassionate. Go see Sandi! you wont be disappointed :)

I had 3 private lessons before surgery to focus on breathing. I realized it could be a real help to my recovery. Sandi was great, she made a difference in my awareness and how I breathe. Surgery was a complete sucess!!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I do offer discount pricing for clients who want to pay ahead for multiple sessions in advance. Multiple sessions are the best way for the client to get consistent care that leads to the kind of change and transformation they are interested in.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Before the first session I have the client describe to me the goals they are interested in attaining as well as the current state of their physical and mental health. We talk through any concerns they have based on past injuries, surgeries, or certain restrictions they feel they have. On the initial encounter, I guide the client through simple and uncomplicated movements guided by their breath. It is during the first session that I help the client see which parts of the body need the most attention. I have been described by previous clients as having the ability to work with them at their current level while providing safe challenges to help their body move towards positive change. After the first session I send the client their own personal home practice script so they can reinforce the concepts learned in the first session.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am registered with the Yoga Alliance as an RYT200 and have logged close to 2000 hours of teaching. By October 2019 I will have completed 500 hours of Viniyoga training. I have level 1 and 2 aqua yoga certifications and will be ATRI (Aquatics Therapy and Rehab Institute) certified by the end of 2019. I am also recognized through Yoga Alliance as a continuing education provider for yoga teachers. The Yoga Alliance is the governing body that provides accountability for yoga instructors. A registered teacher is required to meet a minimum number of continuing education hours and is provided with resources for quality teaching. I credit my engineering background as giving me additional insight into working with each student's individual body. In addition to the resources that Yoga Alliance provides for registered teachers, I continually study the breath and biomechanics from other high caliber resources such as the Brent Brookbush Institute.
