We didn’t get th chance to go through with the lessons but I would recommend souly based off his responsiveness and honestly for teaching to children. Thanks you and when we are ready we will return to you.Sep 25, 2018Verified
Steve is a great bass guitar instructor. My teenage son has learned a lot with him and its great that he can bring the lessons to our home in Round Rock. We started with a trial lesson and my son ended up loving it! I highly recommend En Fuego. Thanks Steve for your hard work and dedication!Jan 1, 2020Review from GoogleEn Fuego School of Guitar's reply
Thanks Synthia! I have a great time teaching Adrian :). He is a great student and picks things up quickly. I always look forward to our lesson. Plus he has great musical taste. See you soon!
My daughter has been receiving guitar lessons from Steve Martinez for over a year now and I couldnt be more pleased. We live in the Round Rock area and the in-home construction is perfect for our busy schedule. We were offered a trial lesson before we signed up with Steve from En Fuego Entertainment and knew by the end of the lesson Steve was a perfect fit! My daughter has learned so much. Hands down best in the Austin area for both child and adult guitar lessons!Jun 13, 2018Review from Google

I came across Steve while looking for guitar lessons for my son. The whole process of meeting, scheduling a free test lesson and helping me out to buy the right equipment made me comfortable from the get go. The best part is that Steve comes home for the lesson that saves time and is super convenient. He makes the lesson super entertaining for my 8 yer old and is very patient, clear and concise with his instructions. Apart from Classic and pop, he is also open in having him try out other tunes which we like. I feel great about my choice to go to Steve for my son's music lessons.Nov 15, 2017Review from Google

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?“I love teaching beginners, I vividly remember what it was like learning to play and I can give them a huge head start in helping them avoid the pitfalls that I went through. I try to establish what the students primary learning style is first. Some prefer a sequential, prescribed approach where a method book can come in handy and help structure the lessons. Other students may start out much like I did where you have a specific song or artist that you like. You then use the various skills and prerequisites required to play the song as the raw materials for technical drills, insights into music theory, and discussions/exercises for complementary scales, improvising, and harmony. Eventually the more structured approach gets into improvising and allowing for more expression and "freedom" in playing, and the more free-style will become more structured. This is the natural evolution of the learning process. I deal quite a bit in visualization, concentration, and memory techniques too to help accelerate learning of any kind.”
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Playing: For my own musical development, I always try to expand my understanding through the study of multiple styles and techniques. From Heavy Metal, to Flamenco, to Jazz, it all plays a part in making me a well rounded player and teacher. Teaching: I always try to stay on top of the latest developments in teaching styles, theories on learning styles, cognitive reasoning, neuroscience, even kinesthetics. I have found that, when combined into an overarching framework, the information gleaned from these fields enhances one's ability to teach many-fold. Recording: I stay informed regarding the latest production techniques, equipment, and software. If any of my guitar students wish to cut a demo they will be given preferred pricing on studio time! Website/Software Development: I also stay up to date on the latest trends in web development technologies and lead a team of developers. If you need help developing your musical business or, just plain need a website, I can help you. I have worked with multi-million dollar clients such as BMW.
