FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically, I teach 30 minute lessons once per week. Tuition is invoiced on a semester basis with options to pay monthly or all at once with a discount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would love to meet you and discuss your goals...why do you want to learn the piano? What kinds of songs do you hope to be able to play on the piano? I'll have some basic musical interaction with you and then if you decide I'm a good fit for you, I'll write up a specialized piano plan with you to help you meet your goals (including which books we'll use).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started teaching piano at age 14...traveling around to 28 student homes each week (and doing my own practicing for competitions). I continued to teach piano through college and even after I became a school teacher and had kids. I am fascinated by the way people learn and I hold a Master's Degree in Education (Instructional Technology). I continue to research and stay on top of the latest teaching trends.
