- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At French's, we utilize a non-pressure, typically 2 part, design process. On our initial meeting, our designer will take measurements, pictures, elevations, and discuss what your needs are for the area. We then set up a follow up appointment that day, before we leave. We'll take all this information back to our office and "build" 1 - 3 different designs in our 3D design software. At our follow up appointment, the designs are presented, tweaked if needed and priced out for your review. If everything is right on track, we can sign that night and you are placed on the production schedule. If you need time to look everything over, GREAT! We encourage multiple quotes as well as complete agreement of all aspects of your project. Because at the end of the day, we want you to be happy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have over 17 years in the construction industry with over a decade specifically in exterior remodeling. We are a certified TrexPro installer of Trex Composite decking. We are also the ONLY member of NADRA (North American Deck and Railing Association), a nonprofit organization that helps govern building codes for the decking industry.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
French's Custom Outdoor Concepts, LLC is a family owned and operated company specializing in outdoor structures. Founded in 2013, Christopher and Joanna French sought to offer San Antonio a higher degree in quality and professionalism in the residential outdoor construction industry. Carrying on the good name and reputation established by his grandfather (Hollis French) at French's Furniture and Cabinet Shop for so many years, Christopher set out to raise the bar in quality for each and every project his company is honored to take on.
