Cyndi helped me and my dog find a compromise to our problem. Since our session, my pet hasn't had an accident in the house in 3 weeks. Cyndi is easy to work with, knowledgeable and clearly has a gift in working with animals.Jul 20, 2017
Absolutely phenomenal! I was so confused before Pawtastic. Cyndi had the right answer for all of my questions. I'm looking forward to working with her again soon! ☺Nov 27, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I have several pricing options. I have an hourly rate. Or I have discount packages for 4-6 sessions. You can pay as you go, or get a discount for paying for 4-6 weeks up front.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I will come to your house and meet you and your dog(s) to determine your specific training needs. I will ask you questions about your dogs behaviors and what your training goals are. I will offer you a training package that is customized for you. If you like the package we will schedule our next session. Most of my training packages are 4-6 weeks. The training is done at your home. We generally meet once a week on the same day and time each week. (However, we can have a flexible schedule if needed.) I will have a training plan for each session. But it can be changed/customized for your specific needs. I work with you and your dog. I explain the training technique we are going to use. I demonstrate the technique with your dog. Then I have you perform the technique and coach you to make sure you are executing it correctly. I give you homework/practice assignments that you will perform in short 5 minutes segments everyday throughout the week. At the end of the 4-6 weeks we evaluate progress to determine if you need more sessions with me or if you just need more practice. Dog training is a lifelong practice. You are always training your dog. Sometimes you are training them to do things you don't want them to do. Sometimes you are training them to do what you want. Sometimes they are training you. You get to choose. You will see results in the 4-6 weeks of training. But dogs are not fully trained in 4-6 weeks. You can be trained in how to train your dog to perform the basic behaviors you want in those weeks. Then you just need to keep practicing. If you need more training or the training goal is more complicated, then further training can be given in 1 or more sessions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been training my own dogs since the 90's. I went through a 12 week dog training instructor program and became a certified dog trainer for a local pet store in 2015. I performed group dog training classes in the pet store for 2 years. In that time I worked with over 300 dogs and their people.
