FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I’m very transparent with my pricing and provide detailed estimates so you know exactly what you’re paying for. I also give customers options whenever possible. For example, I always ask if they’d like me to dispose of the old fence or if they’d prefer to keep some of the materials for another project or to give to a friend or family member. If a fence can be repaired instead of replaced, I’ll explain both options so you can make the decision that’s best for your budget. My goal is to provide honest recommendations, fair pricing, and no surprises.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process starts with listening to the customer’s concerns and scheduling a time to look at the fence. During the estimate, I’ll let you know whether I believe the fence can be repaired or if replacement is the better long-term solution. I’ll always give my honest recommendation instead of trying to sell you something you don’t need. Once we agree on the scope of work, a deposit secures your spot on the schedule. We complete the project with attention to quality and cleanup, then walk the job with you to make sure you’re completely satisfied before collecting the final payment. After the job is finished, I ask for a review so future customers can see the experience you had working with us.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an OSHA 10 certification and First Aid certification, and I’ve completed over 100 fence projects ranging from small repairs to large residential and commercial installations. Before starting You Picket Fence Co., I spent several years in professional sales. That experience taught me the importance of clear communication, listening to customers’ needs, and providing detailed, honest estimates without high-pressure sales tactics. I believe great customer service is just as important as quality workmanship.
