I’m more than glad David reached out. Came by within a couple hours of my first message to see the site and get a game plan for the job. Made sure he had all the tools for completion and came back the next day to get started. Built the 10x8 shed within a day and swang back by the next day to make his finishing touches and the trim look great. Very friendly and eager to work. Made sure everything was done correctly and I was satisfied with the job done. Could not recommend him more enough and will keep his contact in my phone for potential future jobs.

David Perez did not do what he said he would do on Thumbtack. He said that “After (I) accept his estimate for installing Plantation shutters for 6 windows there would be a $100 fee for “Inspection” of the windows and “another fee” (amount not stipulated) for sourcing. Instead he asked $200 for measurements. I did not hire him, as I am collecting estimates at this stage. The other contractors charged $0 for estimates. David Perez charged double.

Marcia, I'm sorry that you were dissatisfied with your experience. I believe there was a misunderstanding regarding my service fees. From the beginning, I was transparent about charging for my time to inspect, measure, and source the correct custom shutters. During our conversations, I realized I had made an error in how I explained those fees, and I corrected it. Even so, I still honored my commitment by providing you with a complete estimate at no charge.
Every contractor runs their business differently. While some companies offer free estimates, I also provide material sourcing and detailed measurements, which require time and effort. My goal is always to be honest, upfront, and fair with every customer.
