We have been making San Antonio beautiful for 17 years, one yard at a time. Please support your local family business.
Most grass ads are from drivers that come from out of town and will take their money back with them. Our grass is absolutely the best quality in town, guaranteed! We cut the grass fresh at the farm in the early morning and deliver it to our yards that same day. We carry native types of sod which excel in our climate and geographic region.

We also do landscaping, prep work, tilling, bagging, hauling, shredding, grading, tree trimming, sprinklers, and hardscapes. Each pallet covers approximately 450 sq. ft. and sells for $125 including fertilizer for Raleigh St. Augustine, best for shade areas or Bermuda Tif 419 for full-sun applications. We sell half pallets for $65 and individual grass squares for $1.00.
Zoysia, the premium drought tolerant hybrid for our geographic area, is available for an additional $50. Se habla espanol.

Working with Howard and the Grass Company was great. He came out to our site and recommended what would work best for our yard. Installation went without any issues and we've gotten several compliments on our yard. He worked around our pool and installed a flower bed to compliment the pool. I highly recommend his service and the quality of the lawn is superb.

I recently bought 10 pallets to sod my yard (front and back) - The grass looked great and is surely first class. - Nice and healthy too. -
I would highly recommend Howards grass - A bit more expensive but well worth the extra money. - Grass is already fertilized and insecticide.

The Grass company has the best prices in San Antonio and a great amount of knowledge of all types of grass. Howard has quick delivery and personnel to install the grass if need be. Thanks again Howard!

Don’t hire The Grass Company if you value communication or your patience. While I will admit Howard was pleasant to talk to initially, more often than not I was greeted to unanswered calls, a full voicemail box, or excuse after excuse. Most of my frustration could have been avoided had I just walked away from the deal at the first sign of this horrible communication.
I initially asked a question through the website; after a few days went by with it unanswered I decided to call Howard. I had a great conversation and I needed time to think about some of the stuff he mentioned on the call. Later I hired him via this website and asked another question on the website (2 notifications would have been sent to him). After several days of not hearing back I decided to email him directly with my questions and the fact that I wanted to hire him. Another several days went by and I eventually called him only to be greeted by a message saying his voicemail box was full. By this point I should have been smart and realized I was in for a headache if it was so hard to give someone money to do a job. But… he did return my call later that day and we set a date to have the grass installed. Instead of him keeping me up to date on what was going on, I had to constantly text him to ask. My install was pushed back a day due to no fault of his (weather) but once again I had to ask what the new timeline was. Eventually I was greeted with great news that they were 20-30 minutes out from my house. After 2+ hours went by without them showing up or hearing anything, I decided to let him know I was cancelling the job due to lack of communication. I got a half ass apology and more excuses. Howard could have salvaged things even at that point but with his lack of empathy and no sense of urgency, he lost my business.

Very nice grass. My front yard was ran over with the forklift though and not rolled back out.
