Introduction: I have a very high quality of craft, being trained to do so in the Rhode Island School of Design Graphic Design Department. My hand lettering has a whimsical unique quality that is very popular with wedding invitation suites right now. I am also able to illustrate alongside letter, which tends to be more efficient for the client. I am constantly told I work very quickly compared to others, am very accessible through phone and email and produce very high quality work. I love the fact that I am never bored. Every client wants something different and unique, allowing me to not only produce fun and exciting projects, but all expand my skills and knowledge of my trade through experience. I love being my own boss and being able to help peoples' visions become a reality through my work.

I hired Danielle in July to design my new business cards, having just transferred Real Estate brokerages in Washington DC. After discussing what I wanted through several email exchanges, she got back to me with draft options to choose from. This was a very useful step as it allowed me to better understand what I wanted. In the end I chose one of the alternate designs she suggested, which was completely different from what I had originally asked for. Less than a week later, the work was completed. Overall I was most impressed with Danielle's responsiveness, patience, and vision for translating my needs into a quality design. I now have a product that I'm proud to hand out to all of my clients and colleagues.

Dani created custom logos that commemorated our Africa safari this year. The family provided concepts for the logos. Then Dani took the two best and rendered them into stunning works of art that captured the essence of the trip - big, bold, wild, colorful, adventure. Even though the concepts provided were simplistic, she grasped our vision immediately and produced a near perfect version at the first round of design. Dani was able to provide a quick turnaround as our leave date was near. She gave us the correct files and formats to upload to the manufacturer's website so we could get the logos onto shirts, luggage tags, etc. in time for the trip. She was easy to work with, attentive to our needs, surprisingly affordable and produced great work. It does not get any better then that.

She is passionate about her work! She made it so easy for me, my first time ever planning my daugthers wedding...so you can only imagine. Working with Danielle has been an absolute pleasure. She has remarkable skills and was able to cater to exactly what I was looking for. I felt bad for being extremely picky about my logo design but she was able to promptly and professionally handle every little type A request I had even when needing to meet a deadline. How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always wanted to create. My love for drawing and collaging transformed into a study of Graphic Design. I was then hired at Martha Stewart where I was able to explore so many different type of design and art. When I was working in the Weddings Department at Martha Stewart and was asked to hand letter seating cards for one of my co-worker's friends after they discovered I loved typography. Ever since I have been designing type on every scrap of paper I can find.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most commonly I am hired to do hand-drawn typography work as well as calligraphy. I am also hired frequently to create custom logo designs and identity work as well as production mechanicals and books. I am constantly asked to edit photos for weddings and events as I have extensive experience with both photography and editing in post with Adobe Photoshop. I am proficient in CS5 including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find a designer that shares the same style you desire for your end product. It is important to find someone who can achieve the look you are searching for as well as talk you through the process and allow you to weigh in in the final design.
