- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Since I like to read and network with people. I usually read articles and read tips from professional artists from around the world. I watch some tutorials but the ones about certain products that make a professional artists job more easier. I will go to a makeup seminar if they come available. There is always something that we may miss whether you went to school for makeup or are only self taught.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was working in a retail store at the time. I would constantly get compliments on my makeup . It would always brighten my day. Those compliments always stayed with me and I realized I wanted people to feel the same way when someone complimented their makeup.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Many clients are people who dont wear much makeup but would like to look nice for the day . So I will make sure they are completely comfortable with what I will be applying to their face. I would consider those looks natural but polished mixed with a bit of glamour. Another popular makeup look would be for a birthday girl or a Bride, those clients are always fun because they usually request a very bold & glamorous look.
