FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes we have a very simple pricing model. For local moves rates are based on crew size and whether we will be doing a full service move (with truck), or a labor only move (loading and/or unloading a customers truck, pod or trailer). There is a travel fee assessed based on customer location and that's it. Absolutely no fees for stairs, long carries, elevators etc. Long Distance moves are flat rates based on a customer provided inventory list and distance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process usually starts with either a phone call or online form submission requesting a quote. We discuss the details of the customers move including size of residence, any potential obstacles, packing and material needs, special request etc. Once we have a solid view of the scope of the job we advise as to how it should be completed and determine how long the job is expected to take based on the details provided. Once this is complete we provide the customer with a price quote range. Upon acceptance of this quote we proceed to get detailed contact, address, and availability information. Once we have this information we take a deposit and lock in the customers preferred date and time. We also send an email verifying our agreement as well as a receipt for the deposit left. Once this is complete the customer is setup for their move (This entire process typically takes less than 15 minutes). We contact the customer 24-48 hours before their scheduled move to make sure they are still good to go and address any last minute concerns or request they may have. Finally on move day they are contacted with the most accurate eta by the foreman who will be handling their move. This eta will fall within the arrival window however we like to give a heads up prior to our arrival for our customers convenience. Upon arrival the foreman will conduct a walk-through with the customer and crew to confirm the scope of the job. At this point there is nothing left for the customer to do but kick their feet up and watch our guys do what they do best. Upon completion at the destination another walk through is conducted to ensure the crew have placed everything per customer request and that the customer is happy with the services provided. Payment is collected and we are on on way to to brighten up our next customers day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All sorts. We get constant updates on the latest developments in the moving industry. The United States Department of Transportation and the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles require constant education. Staying on top of this education also helps us stay on top of the pack.
