- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Session fees and prints and products are separate. Unless otherwise noted, session fees only cover my time and talent, editing, and all of the "behind the scenes" that go into a project. This includes a consult, travel (to consult, scouting locations, and to session, etc.), editing of all of the images you see, the creation of web files, all email correspondence, maintenance on gear used, props and supplies purchased for your session, and the creation of your gallery. Print and product purchases cover costs of packaging, production, upgrades to equipment, continuing education, additional design time for albums and cards (if ordered), and shipping.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always learning, I attend workshops, classes, and online courses to continue to learn and improve my craft.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved taking pictures. I have scrapbooks from my high school years that I still enjoy looking at. Pictures can take you back to a time long gone, and while our memories are wonderful, sometimes we forget little details... photos can bring those back. I love being able to give that to my clients, those little details that are so special.
