Piano Lessons (for children or teenagers)
After experiencing a couple of options for my 8yr old, Mr. Sean was the teacher my daughter enjoyed and loved the most. She loves the fact that classes are kid friendly. In less than a yr she has learned to read music!!!!! We LOVE piano forte.Feb 2, 2017Verified

Sean McAnelly is an excellent piano teacher. He taught both of my daughters to play the piano very quickly and they always enjoyed his fun and entertaining classes. His studio is very comfortable and even includes a T.V. and video player and an area for siblings to do their homework. I would highly recommend Piano Forte Music Studio for anyone of any age or skill level to learn piano.Jul 15, 2013

Piano Lessons (for children or teenagers)
PianoForte has very good teaching skills for young students. My son has always wanted to learn piano and even though it's only been about three months of learning I can tell he has accomplished so much. I love how Pianoforte Studio has the studio setup and how the parents have a separate waiting area. R. TehuitzithOct 27, 2016Verified

I have been taking lessons for 2 years at PianoForte Music, first in individual lessons, then in a group setting. He makes learning piano and keyboard fun, adapting the music to the season, and to the interest of the student. As an older adult, playing piano has added a new dimension to my life, and has been a mind/body/soul experience. I participated in a recital last year where I heard other students play; and highly recommend him for all ages!May 24, 2014

I was a student at the PianoForte Music Studio starting from age 6 until I graduated from high school and I had a great experience! I was kept interested inspired even when things got busy with school and other activities and now I can work on and play almost any music I find! If I get the chance, I would love to return for more lessons in the future.Jul 29, 2013
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Call me to try a free lesson! Lessons are $90 a month for small group lessons, which includes one 40 minute lesson per week. Private lessons are $110 a month for one 30 minute lesson per week. One hour private lessons are also available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? If they are a transfer student from another teacher, or have taken lessons previously, it usually takes a few weeks to get to know their strengths and the areas they need help with. Many of my transfer students have never learned to read music proficiently or how to count rhythms and keep a steady beat! This is mostly due to the lack of good method books out there (most of the method books available put in finger numbers and hand positions which allow students to cheat and learn to play songs without actually learning how to read the notes!). Fortunately all of my students, whether they are complete beginners or if they have had previous experience, will quickly learn the language of music, AND have fun doing it!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been teaching professionally full-time for 17 years. I began studying classical piano at the age of 7, and saxophone at the age of 11. I have performed with symphonic and chamber orchestras, jazz big bands & trios, rock bands, vocal & instrumental soloists, and solo concert piano in a wide variety of styles. I love to take requests, and read and play by ear in almost any style of music. I have a degree in Piano Performance from the University of Texas in San Antonio. I have won numerous awards in performance, including Outstanding Soloist at the Southwest Jazz Festival and Outstanding Musician at the UT Longhorn Jazz Festival, but I consider my greatest achievement to be my students. I love to share my love of music with kids and adults, and I own and run a successful music studio. I am the second cousin of country legend George Strait.
