About
I have been married to my wife for 52 years, we have 3 children who we remain very close to, and we adore our 7 grandkids. I have been in the ministry for most of my life. I have also served on the teaching faculty for 14 years for the Fall Festivals of Marriage. In addition, I was a weekly ride a long chaplain for the San Antonio Police Department for over 5 years. From working closely with people my entire life I have learned the value of listening. I have never learned anything by talking. I also have learned anyone can hit a season of despair, uncertainty, anxiety, heartache, etc. It helps to talk with a person who has assisted others in navigating the difficult seasons in life. I approach each situation by listening, asking questions and not flooding the person with a torrent of meandering words. The goal is to see a person move from being a “problem stater” to being a “problem solver.” The people I deal with genuinely matter to me. It would my honor to earn your trust and to help you.

He is an amazing counselor. I’ve seen him help multiple marriages, including my own as he speaks truth and life into us. He married us 18 years ago, and we still seek him for advice.

He doesn’t always say what you want to hear, which is kind of the point. He points to Biblical truth and common sense practices. I have friends in marriages he has helped during crisis times too that are now on the other side happily married. He is available for meeting anytime. It’s also comforting to know he won’t just stop in the counseling session. He will be a diligent prayer warrior for the couple too. He’s personable, funny, and creative in the advice too. He’s easy to talk to making a tense situation more at ease.

I also appreciate he won’t allow the session to be one-sided. He will aim for common ground and hold both parties accountable for the different roles they play.

He has a long background of helping couples. For decades he has spoken at marriage retreats and church events about marriage. Just recently he led a summer series preaching on help for the home with majority of it focused on how to have a more satisfying marriage rooted in Christ and the Bible.

If your marriage is in crisis mode and you need to stop the bleeding, he is absolutely someone you can call that will have your marriage as top priority.

I highly recommend him! You won’t regret it!
