Hired on Thumbtack

Unreliable, unprofessional, and all around complete jerks who don't communicate. I initially reached out to them on Friday (3/22) with a service request/message. It went ignored for four days and so I just finally booked a separate service on Monday evening (3/25) for Friday (3/29) at 2:00 PM. The appointment was confirmed and they reached out on Tuesday to confirm the hot tub make/model and I responded in the evening. At 2:20ish on 3/29, I sent a message to them via Thumbtack to ask if they were running behind and to confirm I would still get serviced. After no response for 45ish minutes, I called their number in Thumbtack and received a voicemail that was full. I followed it up with a text to that number at 3:05 asking if they still planned to show or if I could go on with my day. Shocker...they didn't respond or acknowledge that one either and it is past 5:30 now. I took time to be free this afternoon and you all couldn't operate with basic courtesy and communicate. If this was one time of poor communication, I'd likely be more understanding but this is a repeat pattern. It is also infuriating that instead of owning it, your decision was to ignore the situation which is inexcusable customer service. To be honest, vendors who don't show in the manner you operated today should be required to compensate customers (or booted from Thumbtack) because of the cost of time you wasted. If I didn't answer my door or missed the appointment when you arrived, we would still be charged. Screenshots included of my initial contact that went ignored 4 days (and still hasn't been acknowledged and is archived), my Thumbtack message on 3/29, my call log to them on 3/29, and the text at 3:05 to the number called (last name and address scratched out). Update: If you say you didn't see it, your Thumbtack account literally shows you being active in the last 2 hours and it is now 6:00. So, yes, you decided to ignore the situation instead of acknowledging and handling it. Extra screenshot included for irrefutable proof.

Hey Ben. Unfortunately when you make a appt it confirms with this site but I never confirmed on my end and never reached out to you discussing anything besides my follow up message. I am over a week scheduled out and have nothing available till next week. And where I've been today signal is on and off as i have been at calls that have been set in stone with customers Sorry for the miscommunication with this site and my actual schedule. But thumbtack does not make schedules for my business. Best of luck
