How do I find someone to fix my sprinkler system?

You can find a sprinkler repair professional by conducting a little bit of online research. This gives you access to their ratings and customer reviews. Some customers will even submit photos of their sprinkler systems that were fixed by the pros. But before you hire a professional, contact them. Ask them questions about their expertise, tell them about your sprinkler problem and request free cost estimates.

How do I increase water pressure in my lawn sprinklers?

Figure out why your sprinkler has low water pressure and determine if you need to make any repairs. There could be an issue with the valve, a leak or the sprinkler heads may need cleaning. If the water pressure is low in your house as well (check your water pressure regulator), the problem may be with the municipal water supply.

Why won’t my sprinklers pop up?

Several problems can prevent sprinkler heads from popping up. For example, here are a few possible culprits:

  • The valve is partially closed.
  • There’s dirt, sand or debris between the sprinkler’s cap and riser.
  • There's low water pressure.
  • There are leaks in the water line.

Contact a pro to help you diagnose the problem and repair it.

Why is one sprinkler zone not working?

One sprinkler zone could be malfunctioning for several reasons, although the most obvious one — a closed valve — is often the culprit. Check to see if the main system valve is closed. It’s easy to forget to turn this back on after repairs. Other causes for failed sprinkler zones are electrical issues within the valve, timer, wiring or solenoid. A common reason is a bad connection that needs to be re-soldered.

Fantastic! We had moved here less than a year ago and briefly tested the system to see if it worked. We found that many of the sprinkler heads were not functioning correctly. We decided to put it off for a while thinking it was going to be really expensive to repair. Free contacted bexar county irrigation through the app because we thought it was time to get our lawn looking good! I explained to them that this house was a rental for about 10 years before we purchased it last year. I didn't think the system was in too great of shape and wasn't sure what, if any previous maintenance had been done. They really could have hosed me because I truly have no clue about sprinkler systems. To my delight, they were very honest and up front about everything regarding my system. They said a few of the sprinkler heads were covered up by some overgrown weeds and grass so they just cleared them out!! They also found sprinkler heads I didn't even know existed LMAO There was some faulty wiring which explains why some of the sprinkler heads weren't functioning, along with a couple other minor repairs to some of the sprinklers. I had truly thought almost half of the sprinklers were going to need to be replaced and possibly need to be dug up due to lack of water flow. That turned out to be a problem with the main box which I just had switched out completely, although they offered a cheaper solution. I am really happy with what they did, how fast they were able to complete everything and that they were honest about just needing some weeds pulled out LOL I absolutely recommend them here and have already recommended them to my family!
