How do I find someone to fix my sprinkler system?

You can find a sprinkler repair professional by conducting a little bit of online research. This gives you access to their ratings and customer reviews. Some customers will even submit photos of their sprinkler systems that were fixed by the pros. But before you hire a professional, contact them. Ask them questions about their expertise, tell them about your sprinkler problem and request free cost estimates.

How do I increase water pressure in my lawn sprinklers?

Figure out why your sprinkler has low water pressure and determine if you need to make any repairs. There could be an issue with the valve, a leak or the sprinkler heads may need cleaning. If the water pressure is low in your house as well (check your water pressure regulator), the problem may be with the municipal water supply.

Why won’t my sprinklers pop up?

Several problems can prevent sprinkler heads from popping up. For example, here are a few possible culprits:

  • The valve is partially closed.
  • There’s dirt, sand or debris between the sprinkler’s cap and riser.
  • There's low water pressure.
  • There are leaks in the water line.

Contact a pro to help you diagnose the problem and repair it.

Why is one sprinkler zone not working?

One sprinkler zone could be malfunctioning for several reasons, although the most obvious one — a closed valve — is often the culprit. Check to see if the main system valve is closed. It’s easy to forget to turn this back on after repairs. Other causes for failed sprinkler zones are electrical issues within the valve, timer, wiring or solenoid. A common reason is a bad connection that needs to be re-soldered.

Reviews for The Colony sprinkler system repair professionals
Justin K.
We were impressed with Harrington Companies from start to finish. I first contacted Harrington because multiple sprinkler zones in our system would not turn on, and I was unable to locate the valve boxes in the yard to attempt any repairs on my own. Samantha was very helpful in arranging an appointment within just a day or two. Jake and Johnathan arrived right on time, were able to explain very clearly why we were having trouble with our system. Jake's experience was evident as he was troubleshooting the system; he was kind enough to talk me through the steps as he made the repairs so that I would have a better understanding of our system and its layout. After the initial problem was fixed, Jake and Johnathan did a full evaluation and replaced the few broken heads, made height/angle adjustments, and were even able to re-position one of the heads to water one of the previously neglected spots in our yard. They were done in just a few hours. Our system is now running perfectly, and the yard is already showing signs of life again. Pricing was also very clear and reasonable; another company had quoted much higher but was not confident they could even make the repair. I would not hesitate to recommend Jake and his team.
