We contacted Andy to re install a door that we have DIYed but did absolutely wrong. He also installed all new trim for us. The door opens smoothly now, is insulated, and has trim! It looks amazing. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I normally ask for type of door(interior or exterior), size of the door, a picture of the existing door and of the new door, and from that will describe my installation process and give an estimate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve installed residential (I don’t do any commercial doors) doors and only doors for 20 plus years. I’ve installed for Home Depot, Lowes, Pella, and Andersen. At Andersen I got certified as a Master Installer. I specialize in doors so that I can be the best at it.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
In general a standard exterior single panel door will take approximately 2 hours, a double panel slider or French door will take 3-4, storm doors about an hour, single panel interior door 45 minutes to an hour.
