She is very knowledgeable and is able to see the 'little' things that need to be changed and in doing so there is a huge difference in my dogs behavior. I love her friendly and approachable attitude. She takes her time, I've never felt rushed. I love watching her handle my dog because she knows what she is doing and can get my dog to perform at a higher level.... I'm learning from her how to get the same level of obedience. She's helping train our Service Dog for our son. I highly recommend this trainer!Feb 20, 2017Verified
We took the dog we were fostering in for a bit of training with Lindsay. We discovered things about her that were good to know and we learned many valuable things we can do to work with our dog. We have continued working with her and have seen dome great results. We thank Lindsay very much for her time and the tools we've been given!Nov 24, 2015Verified
My boyfriend and I got our puppy, Luna, last year. She is a mix of high-energy breeds. She was jumping on the back door, jumping on people, constantly pulling on her leash, and could never contain her excitement. To be honest- I'm not a very patient person, so I was having a hard time handling her. We contacted Lindsey, and she came out the next week. The change she initiated in Luna was incredible. Not only did she train Luna, but she trained us. It truly is amazing the knowledge she shared with us on dog behavior and how to modify it. Luna is now a year old, she is obedient, rarely jumps on people (unless specifically asked to), doesnt pull on her leash, stays on her bed when told, and is much better at controlling her energy. Lindsey also helped me realize that patience is so important when training a dog. Dogs need a positive environment to learn, and being constantly frustrated with them is not helpful. If youre having trouble with your dogs behavior, I 100% recommend Lindsey. We couldnt be happier with Lunas progress. THANK YOU.Jan 24, 2016Verified
Had an outstanding experience with Lindsey Ellis. She is very professional and very skilled in dog training. She was completely engaged with us and our troubled pooch the whole time we were with her . Saw amazing results in our Boxer within just a few minutes of her training exercises. Completely worth the time and money to have a solution for our dogs behavior problems. We are looking forward to continuing working with this awesome " Dog Whisperer"Mar 21, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My prices are available on my website speakingk9.com. I charge 80.00/hr. for non-aggressive problem solving and 100.00/hr. for aggression problem solving. I charge .56 a mile outside of the Ogden area. I offer in home board and train programs as well. (Owner needs to provide shot records and will provide dog own diet.)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to get a feel for my clients schedule. I attempt to work with my clients schedules in order to include all those who will be involved with the dog. Sometimes it only takes one appointment, sometimes it takes a series of appointments to accomplish the goals of the client. I attempt to give my clients the information they need to have in order to obtain success with their goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have spent years attending seminars and meeting with professional trainers to better the information I relay to my clients. I have trained numerous service dogs with success. I assist in weekly puppy classes while continuing to mentor under two amazing dog behaviorists. Teaching gives me constant exposure to various dog breeds, personalities, and behaviors allowing me the ability offer solutions to incorporate a structured relationship between a person and their four legged companion. I compete in organized dog events, and I am certified AKC evaluator.
