FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Two pricing options exist -- hourly rate or job quote price. With a quoted price, you are guaranteed to only pay the price quoted. If the job goes faster or slower than expected, the price will not change. I recommend this pricing option. You will know the price upfront and both parties know what they are agreeing to. With an hourly rate, I will charge a flat rate for any time I am working on your job. While this can help you save money if things go faster than expected, it can also make a job cost more if there are unexpected issues. I recommend hourly rates only in certain situations.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before accepting any job I need to personally come to your home and see the projects for myself. I need to personally assess how big the trees are, how close they are to homes and power lines, and how long it will take my crew to complete the task. After viewing the job I will provide the customer with my bid to complete the job. Once a customer accepts the bid, a contract is signed and a date scheduled for the work. Upon completion of the job, payment is made and both parties leave happy!
