I've hired many cleaning companies in the past BUT: OMG! This company seriously takes alot of pride in what they do! I love how kind and respectful they are to your needs👌🏻 I called Gabriela the same date our appointment was scheduled literally 30 min prior to arrival time. They were so nice and understood my situation 💯 I thought I'd be paying a fee. Instead she told me to hold on and worked it out to trade my appointment with another client of hers. I was very impressed by that move !!! I would totally recommend ROYAL PRO to Anyone !! We will continue to use them in our rental properties and our home as well!

Apo is personable and follows up quickly with any changes that need to be made. Our project was a very big tree in a tight space. It was in the side corner or our property bordering two other properties. They did not use a truck but climbed the tree and cut their way down. Apo and his crew worked very hard and did a great job with just a little mishap with the corner or our roof. Apo fixed the roof quickly and without any objection and did a great job on the roof as well. I would hire him again if I need any other trees taken care of.

Factory Solutions was very easy to get ahold of. I was renting my home for vacation stays in the Salt Lake City area, and Factory Solutions had great communication after a renter had been at my property. They are fairly priced for the excellent job they do!

My husband and I needed some finishing work done on our rental property and as I was asking around, Crown Services Group came highly recommended to us from a trusted friend. We decided to give them a shot. We can't be more pleased with our choice! They sent a guy out that day to give us a quote. He was super friendly and took our concerns into consideration as well as gave us his professional opinion on what would look best. The final project was done in less then a week with not one spec of dust left over. We are completely satisfied with the final product and the professional service. I would tell anyone looking for finishing work as well as other home repairs or improvements to go with Crown Service Group. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Brian, at Bluesky Design & Project Management was on time and very efficient in having my property cleaned up from the construction that we had done. He went above and beyond to make sure everything we needed done was to our satisfaction. We will definitely hire him again as Brian's company provides a variety of services we will need in the future. Great job!

This company was able to come out to my property quickly to asses the amount of work and give a bid. They did so fairly quick. The only reason I gave them four starts instead of five is that they kept pushing our scheduled clean up day out multiple times which made it hard to plan. Other than I’ll give them another try.

We recently remodeled several rooms in our house as well as replacing all the base board and doorway casing throughout. Let's just say we were living in a pile of sawdust. We were getting down to the wire with our wedding date approaching, we got married at our home. With all the commotion, I confused the date I needed the cleaning for about a month away! 4 days before the wedding Kris was more than helpful and switched the dates for me. The next day, they showed up and completely deep cleaned both houses on our property. I don't think my homes have ever been this clean. Definitely a service we will be using again!

Jameson (and the rest of the Logic Property Management team) were tireless in their efforts to ensure our satisfaction. As a tenant, I always felt that my voice and opinion mattered, which has certainly not always been the case in my experience with other property management companies. Jameson was a perfect liason, and was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. I can easily say that my experience leasing the property would not have been nearly as smooth if Jameson had not been such a great advocate. Every transaction and communication was completely transparent and logical, there were never any "hidden" charges or fees, and the interface of their website is very user-friendly. The five-star rating was definitely well-earned, and I can wholeheartedly recommend Logic Property Management to anyone on the market for property management services.

Very nice people and was a hard worker while he was here, but I suspect Jose bit off more than he could chew and didn't know how to get out of the situation so he just disappeared on me. Estimate said it would include stump grinding but then after the trees were down he said he couldn't do the two large stumps and wanted $400 more (didn't seem to know difference between stump grinding and removal) so now I've paid $1200 to have two trees felled and some bushes removed and still have stumps where I need to re-plant. He didn't know what Blue Stakes was and couldn't grasp how to "call before digging" which made me nervous he would get hurt as there are a lot of utilities running through my property. Been trying different ways to get in touch to see when he would be coming to do the rest of what we agreed to for over a week with zero response. Extremely disappointed.

I had such a great experience working with the Diana and Lee. Diana cleaned my rental property after our last tenants left it quite messy and she had a positive attitude and cleaned it so well! Her husband Lee did some wall repairs and painting and made sure he did it before our next tenants moved in. They are both so reliable, nice, positive and do the job well. It was very easy to work with them.

I hired AA landscaping for two separate jobs I had posted on thumbtack, tree trimming and rain gutter cleaning. Communication is key for me since I'm not conveniently located to my property. Aaron got to the job soon after being hired, sent me pictures of the progress and finished in a timely manner. Thanks, Aaron.

We contracted with Limoni Solutions to clean a rental property of my father. Gino was quick to respond to all of my questions! They had a competitive price and were very accommodating to my father's schedule. The crew arrived on time and when my parents went to the home to pay the crew they were totally surprised and satisfied with the quality of work. The house recently had a tenant that did not take care of the home and Limoni Solutions made it LOOK and SMELL like new! Thank YOU!!

My window well kept filling with water and flooding my basement. I called my landlord, who in turn called Kore Investments LLC Property Maintenance Solutions. They were out the SAME morning, getting the flooding stopped and finding out the cause. There was ahuge snowstorm and it wasn't safe on the roof and i thought Christmas was ruined because it wasn't supposed to stop until after Christmas. But the 23rd Jen emailed and said she wanted to try and work a Christmas miracle. She sent Roofers out ASAP and now my basement is better than new. They were prompt, they kept their promises and cleaned up after themselves. They kept me informed and never left me guessing. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

My life hasn't been the same since I hired Rhino to manage my rental properties. It's so gret to just forget about them and go on with my life. Believe me my wife is ecstatic about me having my saturdays back to herself. Prices are great and they're the only property management company I've worked with who responds when I call and text them. Awesome.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is a general contractor?

When starting a home remodel or new construction project, you will probably hire a general contractor. A general contractor is a professional who is qualified to take a set of building plans and construct them as outlined. The general contractor may help perform the day-to-day building, or they may just hire workers and oversee all the work activities. In either case, the job of the general contractor is to see that your project gets built.

When you have a building project, ask for bids from various contractors. The bids tell you how much each will charge and what their scope of work will be. Once you have selected a bid, you sign a contract with that general contractor outlining the specifics of the project and the milestones during the project when they will receive payment installments. Once the contract is official, the general contractor will bring in their crew to begin construction. The contractor will manage the workers and subcontractors (anyone who doesn’t work directly for their company but that they need to outsource, like a marble installation pro), order all the materials, obtain work permits, and confirm that all the workers and subcontractors are completing their projects as planned. They typically handle all the payments to the workers and subcontractors, and send you invoice. For all these reasons, it’s also especially important to follow a few smart hiring practices when it comes to finding a general contractor.  If you are organized and competent to oversee construction projects, and are able to make sure everything is being built properly and meeting code, it’s possible you can be your own general contractor.

What does a property management company do?

Property management companies manage the rental of residential homes, apartments, condos, commercial spaces and retail spaces. Property managers can oversee just a single unit or many properties, whether those sites are inhabited full-time or are vacation rentals. A property management company helps a property owner or landlord find tenants; collects rent; takes care of accounting, property maintenance and repairs; handles on-site management; and manages vacation rental check-in and checkout tasks. Although many property owners or landlords successfully manage their own rental real estate, a property management company can help you handle tenant issues and maintenance problems, especially if you are not located in the same city or state. Most property management companies deal with tenants directly, and their tasks include:

  • Marketing the rental property
  • Collecting rent
  • Handling repair problems
  • Responding to tenant complaints
  • Evicting tenants

A property management company may be a good choice for property owners who have several investment properties, live far away from the rental property, or don’t have time for hands-on management.

How much do you pay for house cleaning?

Hiring a professional house cleaning service is a helpful way to have a healthy home even when your work and personal schedule is packed. House cleaning prices vary based on how many square feet your home is, how dirty your house gets, and how often the cleaning service comes. Some companies charge a set amount — such as 5 cents — per square foot, with a minimum amount, such as $100. The national average cost for house cleaning ranges between $110 and $150. Prices can be lower in areas with a lower cost of living, higher in big cities or affluent regions. You may save money by increasing the frequency of your house cleaning visits. Often a company will charge you less per cleaning when you schedule more cleanings per month. The cost advantage rewards your loyalty, and also reflects the fact that more frequent cleanings make it easier to maintain a high level of cleanliness in your home. A housecleaning service may charge more for the first visit or for one-time services than for recurring cleanings.

What does a real estate agent do?

Real estate agents help their clients buy, sell, and rent commercial and residential properties. There are also real estate agents that sell industrial and agricultural real estate, but the majority sell residential properties. To become a real estate agent, you must be at least 18 years old, successfully complete real estate courses, and pass a real estate exam. Be sure to check for any required licensing, too. Often real estate agents will earn 5 percent to 6 percent of the total home sale price for their work in representing their client. Typically this commission is split equally between the buyer’s agent and the seller’s agent. Here is an overview of what a real estate agent does, according to the United States Department of Labor:

  • Represent clients who are looking to buy, sell and rent properties.
  • Stay knowledgeable about regional real estate prices, mortgages, market conditions and related information, and advise clients accordingly.
  • Determine competitive market prices by comparing properties.
  • Create and publicize lists of properties for sale, including details such as location and features.
  • Market properties through advertisements, open houses and listing services.
  • Show prospective buyers or renters properties.
  • Present purchase offers to sellers for consideration.
  • Mediate negotiations between buyer and seller.
  • Ensure that all terms of purchase contracts are met.
  • Prepare documents, such as loyalty contracts, purchase agreements and deeds.

What's the difference between a real estate broker and an agent?

Real estate agents and real estate brokers both help clients buy, sell, and rent residential and commercial properties. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, real estate brokers are licensed to manage their own real estate businesses. Real estate agents cannot have their own real estate office and must work under a broker. Real estate brokers often have real estate firms and employ real estate agents. Those real estate agents may be employees of the firm, or they may work on contract and earn part of any commission they bring into the firm.

If you are a homeowner ready to sell or a buyer in the market for a new home, either a real estate broker or a real estate agent can help you achieve your goal. What is more important than their title is their track record and client success stories. When interviewing real estate agents or brokers to help you buy or sell a home, ask about their recent sales history as compared with the original listing prices. If you’re selling a home, ask how they would market your home and what price they would list it at. Whether you hire an agent or broker, you want a professional who will have your best interests at heart.
