- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New clients will meet with head trainer Travis and discuss their goals. From here Travis will create a detailed plan on how the client will be successful in achieving their goals. Injury prevention and safety of the client is also very important to Western Skies Strength so before any training starts the client will fill out a health questionnaire and preform a functional movement screening. Other tests may be preformed depending on the individuals goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Travis has a bachelors degree in Kinesiology and Sport Science with a minor in coaching. He is certified as a national USAW (Olympic Weightlifting) coach. Alongside competing as a collegiate sprinter he has also been training for over 7yrs.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always enjoyed training and staying as fit and athletic as possible. I also love seeing people reach their goals in life. So its pretty simple, I chose to do put the two together and do something that I truly love.
