Pineapple Property Group recently took over management of our low income apartment complex. Most people living here were doing so because the apartments are super old and out of date, but the landlord was willing to rent it at a reasonable price. Then the new owners and PPG come in. They decide to raise rent and kick everyone out. They bought the complex at the beginning of December. If you were paying at the end of the month, you have to pay for December at a new higher rate. Which is more than triple what some of the current tenants are paying! Not only that, but they switched the pay day to the beginning of January. So you have to pay the super high rent twice within a week's time and right after Christmas. Then, even if you pay they are still kicking everyone out at the end of January.I understand transition is hard. But instead of barging in and demanding people move out the week of Christmas or pay $1700, they should let the previous owner's agreements stand for two months. Then they can transition into their "new plan." You can't hardly even find a reasonable place to live in three weeks time! Especially around Christmas when people are trying to NOT move!All the time they say they are "on your side," but really all they care about is the money. They aren't willing to listen to, or work with, the already existing tenants. This is a business and nothing else. They care only for the numbers, and can't see the people behind them. There's still time. One can only hope that they'd change their mind. I'm only one voice out of the 50-100 that live here, but I speak the same words that they all do. Should PPG decide to have a heart, I will change my review. But until then, it will stand as an eternal voice against the greed of this business.

Hello Mikinley, we understand how frustrating it can be when the property changes hand. We just took over this 18 unit property 3 weeks ago and the old owner has no leases in place. The new owner wants us to increase the rents and charge late fees. We have advised the owner on market rent rate and waive late fees for month of Dec till we have notices out to get to know all the tenants and leases in place. We are looking out for tenants and being fair to both parties.Both tenants and owners are our customers. Let us know what we can do to make this better and Kelsey is reaching out to every tenant.

Great!!! If you want the most inept braindead company in the world. I keep getting texts about properties (yes multiple) that I don't live in and never have lived in. I keep telling them that they have the wrong number and that I have never in my life lived at one of their properties and they say okay I'll remove your number sorry but then I keep getting messages. That alone would be enough to make me not want to rent from them but I also found out some of my coworkers rent from a few of their buildings and it they say they can never get a maintenance person out in a timely manner when they have issues or that they show up outside of the scheduled time. This place doesn't seem like they know what they are doing in any respect. I've live in low income trash buildings that were more organized than this place. Honestly avoid at all costs.

Hello Kyra, I am sorry that you are getting texts from our company. All the numbers we have are current tenants and we only text for any issues that need to be answered (maintenance, rent, other queries), responding to tenants questions. If you can call into our office and provide your name and number, we can investigate from the call & text logs. Our maintenance turn around time on average is less than 2 hours. We respond and set up a time to attend to issues. You not being a current tenant may not have the first hand experience.

Originally I had posted a 5 star review, but that was only because after the lease was signed they asked us to leave them a 5 star review. Now it definitely makes sense why they needed the extra positive reviews on Google. Seriously the worst Property Management company I have ever dealt with. Even if it was a 3 bedroom in sugarhouse for 500 bucks a month, wouldn't rent from these people again.If you are looking for some incredibly negligent people dealing with your home, you've found the perfect people to rent from. I have had almost $700 worth of damage to my furniture from water damage in the property I was staying in (in my bedroom and another issue in my kitchen and living room). I went 2 weeks with water coming from my ceiling in a steady stream. They only came to fix it when I threatened legal action. Their maintenance department is equivalent to toddlers with plastic tool sets. They basically just break things further and you have to call a grown up to come fix it.As an added bonus, our lease stated that we had A/C and Heat, we actually had neither in our unit! Along with a laundry list of other issues we had to deal with from this property management.Long story short, if you are reading this review and have already signed a lease with these slumlords I'd advise upping your renters insurance. If you're thinking about renting from these people, I'd advise you to seriously reconsider.

We feel that the repairs were done professionally and timely and the unit is in good condition. Your other roommates felt differently and were happy to renew and stay in the unit.
