Quality! Quality! Quality! We had a fireplace project that hadn’t gone well with a previous contractor. We were in search of a tile installer with a focus on quality. When Mitch of Freestone Interior Solutions came to provide a quote, he asked several questions to gain a thorough understanding of our project, made recommendations, and carefully responded to our questions/concerns. He knew what he was talking about, and was very “can do”! Ultimately, we chose Mitch because of the "quality reviews" from other clients, the "quote experience", AND because he was also able to install the mantel and fireplace, saving us time and money by using one contractor. Additionally, he was great at "project problem solving" and helped us modify an “emergency access door” on the side of the fireplace; correcting the work of the previous contractor. As far as constructive feedback, which we shared with Mitch and he was receptive to… As a business owner, overseeing and performing the work, as well as, several other responsibilities, Mitch was busy juggling all that was on his “plate”. There were times when communication was delayed and the schedule was adjusted, but in the end, the quality of the finished product is what we were after, and Mitch did an amazing job! The final product was beautiful and the quality “top notch”! 5 star rating for quality/skillset, which is what was most important to us. 3.5 Stars for Communication/Scheduling. Again, feedback Mitch was receptive to.

We hired Freestone to do a bathroom remodel on our 1925 home. Mitch, Jordan and the crew from Freestone were awesome to work with. From the very start they distinguished themselves from other companies by knowing what they were talking about, highlighting potential issues, and following best practices and not cutting corners. I always had complete trust and confidence in Freestone throughout the remodel process. We plan to hire them again for other home projects.

Mitch was great to work with! One thing that we appreciated was he didn’t try to up charge the materials, he actually got us his contractor discount on our doors and helped us get our doors quickly. (Pre-hung doors for our style were 6 weeks out, but he connected us with a place that could take slab doors and convert them to pre-hung and we got them in 2 weeks). He also helped ensure every little detail was thought through on our stairs and closets. We would definitely use Mitch again in the future on other projects.

Mitch gets the job done even in a time crunch. The work done is top quality. Our business has used him for last minute emergencies and he responds quickly. He’s also fixed work that other handymen leave undone. He’s great! I would recommend to anyone looking for a handyman.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I’m competitive with all the contractors in Utah we may be on the mid to high side but you get what you pay for. I have ripped out and replaced several companies work because the customer got what they paid for and wanted the job redone correctly. This cost way more than just going with a reputable tile company in the first place!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Finding out what style of install they are looking for and what their design preferences are. For basic repairs and tile. We can provide free estimates, then put them on the schedule if they like the price.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
18 years of experience hands on.
