- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My Typical Onboarding Process: 1. Free Discovery Call – We start with a quick call or message to learn more about your business, your current bookkeeping setup, and what kind of support you’re looking for. 2. Review & Proposal – I’ll review your books (if applicable), assess the scope of work, and send over a custom proposal outlining services, pricing, and timelines. 3. Agreement & Onboarding – Once we agree on the terms, I’ll provide a simple service agreement and begin the onboarding process. This includes gathering any necessary logins, access to your accounting software, and reviewing your current financial systems. 4. Setup & Cleanup (if needed) – I’ll make sure everything is set up properly, categorize past transactions if needed, and clean up any inconsistencies. 5. Ongoing Support – Depending on your plan, I’ll provide weekly, monthly, or quarterly services, send reports, and communicate regularly so you always know where your finances stand. I focus on building trust and simplifying your finances so you can focus on running your business!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve completed formal training through Bookkeeper Launch, the industry’s leading program for modern, remote bookkeepers. I hold a QuickBooks Online Level 1 Certification and a Digital Bookkeeper Certification from the Digital Bookkeeping Association. In addition to my certifications, I bring over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, including operations management at a Fortune 500 firm. I’ve also gained hands-on experience managing invoicing, financial records, and reporting for a growing equine facility, and I continue to build real-world experience in accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations. I believe that accurate, timely financials are the foundation of any successful business—and I’m constantly learning to stay ahead of changes in accounting tools and best practices.
