- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
well not really in our industry we mainly bid our projects by the square footage of the space(s) to be painted and the price obviously goes up per sq foot by how much the customer wants to do in the spaces to be painted like if they want to do just the walls in a room or the walls and ceiling or the whole room walls ceiling and trim and closet(s) these things are all priced differently based on the square footage of a room which is an accurate measurement for the price it will take including labor and materials for the painting company to be able to perform the work the condition of the walls and number of colors also play a factor in the final price
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Well we like to set up a time to meet face to face with our customers that way we can get a clear understanding of there needs and wants for there painting project as well as answer any questions or concerns they may have, we also like to meet in person because that way our potential customer can get a feel for us and get a clear explanation and understanding of what we can offer them, it's also good because we can see the work that needs to be done first hand and give them a solid quote without missing any details
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Well back in 1973-74 fresh out of high school one of my best friends started painting homes in our neighborhood so I helped him and he trained me we branched out over the years to new construction as well as working for other companies whom we knew such as BR painting, balsted construction and delta painting eventually starting our own companies and going our separate ways, I realized that everyone needed painting done so I looked at it as "job security" and stuck with it and now have been doing it for over 40 years
