Introduction: Ever since Davidoff & Associates got started in 2003, our overarching principle has been to provide high quality, personable and easily accessible service at reasonable prices. You get a larger firm expertise at a fraction of the cost. Many others either provide a no-frills service at prices similar to ours, or a high-quality, attentive service at prices 3-5 times as much as we charge. Our clients' satisfaction level speaks volumes. Saving real dollars for my clients. Unlike many other service providers, we care about our clients' bottom lines and personal finances first and foremost. We were very satisfied with the service provided. We were given detailed directions on the documents that were needed. We met for an in-office interview once. All other correspondences were made over e-mail, which was responded to promptly. We've always dreaded filing taxes because my husband was self-employed through a company based in a different state and I was on a scholarship grant that left all taxes to be handled by the recipient. It was a refreshing change to be able to talk to a real person who consistently handles our taxes. I also appreciate the fact that he is available all year. Not only was our 2013 return done promptly and without hassle, Michael also caught some mistakes in our previous year's taxes and amended our return for significant savings. He also offered to speak to the IRS on our behave when we received cryptic notices regarding our returns. We originally purchased a deeply discounted Groupon deal. Michael gave us all the time and attention to detail that we needed. We have since paid regular rates and I think his rates are very reasonable. We will continue to use his services in the coming years. Definitely recommended.

I had Davidoff and Assoc do some back taxes for me. I had a business loss and made no money for 5 years and did not file my tax returns. Then I decided to get caught up and they were a great help. I had both business and personal and state and federal - 4 returns for 5 years - 20 returns. They did a great job of helping me get my records organized and then doing the returns. Considering the task I thought their charges were very reasonable. I can recommend them highly!!

I've done my taxes with Davidoff and Associates for the past two years. Everyone has always been professional and prompt in responding to me, especially Michael Davidov. Michael has been accommodating and willing to help out in anyway he could. It really made me feel like a valued customer. I also have enjoyed the ease of the process and getting to e-file. It definitely makes tax season less of a dreadful experience!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most of the time, we charge either based on the number of forms needed for a tax return, or use flat fees (mainly for clear-cut projects and annual business contracts). In some specific instances, we charge by the hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We would set up a free appointment (or a phone call) where I learn about prospective client's issues and concerns, then propose a strategy to deal with them, along with the cost estimate. If the prospective client retains our firm, he(she) signs client intake documents that establish the relationship with us, and then we get started on the engagement.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely. I have to earn at least 20 CPE credits each year to maintain my license.
