- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, my rates are in line with their published rates. You can get an idea of hourly rates and general pace per page on their website. From there, you can estimate a range for a flat rate. Every project is different, but my rates will always be within those parameters. To get an accurate quote for your project, a conversation will be in order.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First step: set up a call. My schedule is flexible and I can take calls day or evening, weekdays or weekends. That's when we talk about your writing/editing needs in detail. We'll make sure the basics are there before we continue -- Do I have the expertise needed for your project? Do our calendars match up and can I provide the deliverable when you need it based on my workload? We discuss the process and make sure we're prepared for the various stages of writing or editing, as well as any necessary revisions and other rounds of editing.
