Free estimates in person or by phone for some jobs I charge by the job not the hourly rate
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Initial Contact and Inquiry: * Customer reaches out They describe the job they need done. * Gather information: clarifying questions to understand the scope of the job. Get details like: * What exactly needs to be done? (Be specific - "fix the faucet" is less helpful than "fix a leaky kitchen faucet, dripping at the handle") * Where is the job located? * What's the best way to contact them? * What's their availability for you to come look at the job or do the work? Do You have any pictures you can share? (This can be very helpful for visualizing the job.) 2. Job Assessment and Quote: * Schedule a visit (if necessary): For many jobs, especially larger or more complex ones, an in-person visit is crucial. This allows me to:* See the job firsthand. * Accurately assess the work involved. * Discuss options and materials with the customer. * Take measurements or photos. * Provide a detailed quote: This is essential. A written quote protects both you and the customer. It should include: * A clear description of the work to be done. * A breakdown of costs (materials, labor, any other fees). * Your payment terms (e.g., deposit, payment upon completion). * ************************* * An expiration date for the quote. * Answer questions 3. Job Confirmation and Scheduling: * Customer approval 4. Performing the Work 5.
