FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I carry a relatively low hourly rate compared to most CAD operators. It won't be my proficiency that will drive up the overall price of a project. It will be how detailed the project is.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do. I collaborate with a fellow CAD draftsman who is privy to training materials and we tend to help one another out. Two sets of eyes are always better than one. It helps that his specialty is entirely different than mine so I really get a different perspective.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began to study architecture well after I had run out of enough GI Bill to get me through the degree program. I got my original degree in great haste because I was anxious to return to the work force. This time, I actually chose to study something I really care about and fascinates me.
