We refinish hardwood floors and install many types of flooring. We offer dustless and dust-controlled sanding to ensure that all we leave behind are beautiful floors. He came to my house to inspect my subfloors and give me advice on how to solve my issue. It turns out that it was not a job for him but his professionalism and insight into the issue allowed me to fix the issue myself. If we ever need new flooring, we’ll absolutely bring him back.

Last week, I had Matt of Hardwood Floors Unlimited replace hardwood flooring around the area of the toilet in my half bath. A couple of days later I noticed that one of the boards he replaced had warped. So I contacted Matt to have him fix the warped board. I also note that when looking at the floor I saw that Matt had cut off a portion of the edge of one of the planks he replaced, apparently when he cut the tongue of the board off using his table saw. I also noted that Matt used a fair amount of wood putty to fill gaps in many of the boards he replaced, which I believe is not ideal for an area like a bathroom floor that can experience higher levels of moisture. I believe if all the boards were all cut correctly there would not have been a need for all the wood putty he used for the gaps that he made. Today Matt, who comes across as somewhat arrogant when he repeatedly bragged about his 35 years of experience, came to my house and looked at the floor and said it was "a good job" and he would not do anything further about the floor in order to satisfy the customer (me), other than add more wood putty! I think if Matt believed that the customer was always right he would have done the right thing and corrected his mistakes.
