FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is $35 per half hour, $60 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is always general introduction, making sure that there is mutual ability to communicate ideas and goals effectively. Afterwards, is assessment of the students background. Often there is none at all, so it simply starting from square one. Then afterwards is a continual communication of expectations as a teacher and feedback from the student. Music is a complex subject; patience is key in reaching goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors of Music in Music Composition from Christopher Newport University where I studied composition, piano, and tuba. I have played piano for approximately 14 years and have played in a variety of contexts, such as a soloist, chamber musician, and accompanist. I have played tuba for approximately 8 years where I have played as a soloist and in chamber groups, bands, and orchestras.
