Hired on Thumbtack
Pricing is fraudulently deceiving. My initial request stated job was less than one hour. Once on site, I was informed it was a two-hour minimum of labor -nowhere was this stated on Thumbtack. Initial task was complete in 20 minutes, Handy man asked if there were other jobs as only 20 minutes had expired on two hour minimum. I suggested another simple job, which Handy Man completed within the two-hour minimum but double charged me as it was two tasks. Handy Man was onsite 2 hour and 15 minutes (including a trip to Home Depot) and charged me $440 dollars - he had started another job for the second task and another two-hour minimum. Handy man stated this was Thumbtack's policy.
