Amazing service! I've heard bad stories of hiring moving companies but after doing research online and reading reviews I felt comfortable with City Hound. I requested a quote 2 days before my preferred move date via Thumbtack and they immediately responded within 10 minutes and were able to accommodate. After a couple back and forth messages and 1 phone call I got the quote and was surprised at how affordable it was. I hired 2 guys for 3 hours. They were up front about the fees asking specific questions like how many flight of stairs. Now, I was moving from a small studio to another studio and had about 15 medium/large boxes plus furniture - not a whole lot of stuff. They also emailed a Certificate of Insurance quickly to meet the building requirements.
On actual moving day, they were quick, efficient, and careful. They helped wrap my TV's and other furniture to easily and safely move it.
After the move, they reviewed the charges and it matched the quote that was given. Great deal!
I highly recommend them and will use them for future moves.

The office staff were very responsive and the company was insured, so I booked them at a higher hourly rate for a tiny move for a 3-hour minimum. In advance I asked for mattress covers to be provided, or I would provide them. They assured me that they provide them. So I booked them! The movers were on time on the day, but the first warning was that the truck was filthy - it looked like it had never been swept. Sadly during the move the movers were in such a rush that they kept banging into things. They did not wrap the furniture as requested, damaged the bedframe in transit (they didn’t appear to strap the stuff down for the drive? I don’t know), and finally my mattress had brown streaks on it from the truck, where the plastic wrap they used had broke. I’m giving 3 stars because they got the job done in 2 hours, were friendly, and in truth I know things could have been worse. But had they taken a little more care and time (I paid for 3 hours after all), wrapped my furniture as agreed, and for goodness sake swept the truck, it would have been 5.

Great service and prices! I moved into my first apartment and the movers quickly packed and wrapped my furniture and very strategically moved everything through tight spaces and doorways (in a basement). Definitely recommend them!

Always using this amazing company going forward!! They have great customer service thats super easy to reach via phone or email and they are always super responsive. The movers that came to me were the best movers Ive ever had! They were very friendly and nice and took precautions moving everything. They came back to move me out of storage a few weeks later and were just awesome. Taking care of everything as if it were there own. They dis/assembled furniture for me which was amazing! Always on time and ready to work with a smile. Best movers Ive ever had and at a very affordable rate! A++

I have used these guys for two separate moves and they were awesome except for the way my stuff was packed in storage. However, Andrew has promised to get them to come and rectify the problem. They are very professional, fast and the most reasonable movers I have used. Thank you all for such great work and I will be contacting you soon in getting my stuff out of storage and finally moving to my dream home.
