Introduction: Our images and our style are consistent! So many photographer sites you will go to will have some images in color, some in black and white, some with that yellow instagram filter on them. You have no idea how YOUR pictures are going to come back. You know when you look at our portfolio that your images will be sharp, vibrant, dramatic, colorful photographs every single time! If you want to print them in black and white we can print them in black and white but your digital images will be beautiful true color photos! First of all we love weddings and we love marriage! The best part of our job is the moment when we show our clients their photographs and they are blown away by them. So many of them tell us how awkward they feel infront of the camera or feel they are not photogrenic and never thought they could look so good! Photographs are tangible memories and can change they way we see ourselves or remember ourselves. Photographs let us get past our own bias of our appearance and see the beauty we didn't think was there!

My sister-in-law recommended Chris and Brandy Gronde to us after her fabulous experience with them the year prior when they did her daughter's senior photos. I trusted her judgement, but never anticipated that they would exceed my expectations to the degree in which they did. Chris and Brandy work together as a team (two photographers for less money than most photographers charge for one) and they are absolutely incredible!!! Our extremely reasonable wedding package included a 2 hour engagement session and 8 hours of photography (with 2 photographers) the day of the wedding. The engagement session turned out amazing and was a wonderful way to get to know our photographers before the day of the wedding. Both Chris and Brandy have a wonderfully artistic eye and will go to extremes to capture the right angle (at one point during our engagemnt session Brandy sat on top of Chris's shoulders to get the desired shot). The day of the wedding, they were willing to meet at the salon to get shots of myself and the girls getting ready and then drove me to the hotel when time got short and we needed to get back to get dressed. While at the hotel getting ready, Chris went with the guys to get seperate photos and Brandy stayed with the girls and even did a mini impromptu boudierre session with me. She helped me to get dressed, fixed my hair, and even helped deal with garter issues. There was no limit to the help she was willing to give to make our day perfect! We have not seen all of the wedding photos yet, but the sneak peeks have been amazing! (there is one where we were in the middle of the street that is timeless and gorgeous)!! If the wedding photos are half as good as the engagement session, then they are going to be priceless and incredible! I cannot stress how amazing these two were and say how wonderful it was to have two photographers to catch different angles and moments with the groomsmen and bridesmaids! If you are looking for absolute perfection, then look no further, you have found your photographers!

We had our engagement photos taken by Chris and Brandy in May 2010. We stumbled across their webpage and were incredibly impressed by their unique vision and honest capturing of emotion. We had an awesome time taking photos all over the Washington Mall - on the carousel, at the Tidal Basin, on the metro, and by the Smithsonian Castle. Although we'd never done a photoshoot, Chris and Brandy put us immediately at ease and we had a fun afternoon working with them. But even more importantly, the shots turned out great - our friends and family have loved seeing them and we're happy to have these moments forever.

Chris and Brandy far exceeded our expectations! The combination of Brandy's eye for incredible shots and Chris's technical expertice is a truly powerful one. For our family photoshoot, we spent a wonderful afternoon with them. They are incredibly personable and immediately put us at ease. Our daughters especially took a liking to Brandy and enjoyed skipping with her throughout the park in between shot locations. I am very thankful for their work and dedication to get just the right shot. Our time with them wasn't hurried and it was evident they are genuinely passionate about taking photographs. Chris and Brandy are true gems with some amazing talent!

I am by no means a natural in front of the camera but they know how to make you feel at ease and help bring out your true personality in your photo's. Chris and Brandy are AWESOME! My fiancé, Calvin, and I had the pleasure having them do our engagement shoot back in August 2010. We love our photos and are complimented on them all the time. We are looking forward to seeing what they'll have in store for our wedding session. My second shoot in December 2010 was just as great; with a fun, sensual, and sophisticated feel -- they helped me celebrate turning 30 yrs old. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in fine art photography and continue to educate myself through Professional Photographers of America where I am pursuing my Master of Photography Degree and a Certified Professional Photographer Certification.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had been doing photography as a hobby my entire life and when we got married we were not as extatic about our wedding photographer as we thought we were going to be. The pictures were ok, but we ended up directing most of the shots ourselves and the experience as a whole was impersonal and bland at best. We knew couples deserved a better experience on their wedding day than that so we went to school and finished our degrees in fine art photography and small business administration and started our business vowing to give the best photography experience and service that money could buy!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Engagements, Weddings, and Newborns! These are what we do most and what we LOVE to photograph! Especially when its our wedding couples calling us back a year or two down the road and letting us know they thought of us as soon as they knew they were pregnant and wanting to make sure we were available around their due date!
