Although I had already found help for my electrical emergency, I really appreciated the kindness and professionalism shown by this company. They called nice and early the next morning to check on my situation and see if I still needed assistance. The woman I spoke with was genuinely caring and concerned, which meant a lot during a stressful situation. That level of customer service and follow-up does not go unnoticed, and I will absolutely keep them in mind for future electrical needs.

I hired Get Lit to install a new panel box for a client that was receiving 2 new units (HVAC). When Cody went out to look at the job and price it out, he was very detailed on what would have to be done for this client. He prepared a VERY thorough estimate for me to present for approval. He explained some of the charges, and the why's. When we received the approval, Cody went out and complete the work - he was very professional and contacted me when he was done, and the inspector came today 7/16 giving the go ahead for us to do our install. I will absolutely hire them again to do electrical work in the Hampton Roads area!! From the responsiveness of the office staff to the completion of the work, everyone at Get Lit was wonderful! Jonny arrived early and was very thorough. He quoted me a great price for recessive lighting and removed 3 fixtures and replaced them. He was very pleasant and did great with my dogs. Will most definitely use this service again.
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We operate strictly on a flat-rate pricing model, which means you pay by the job, not by the hour. Before any work begins, you will receive a clear, upfront quote so you know the exact cost. There are zero hidden fees, surprise surcharges, or overtime costs—even if the job takes longer than expected.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have multiple technicians, therefore, we work diligently to schedule a time that is convenient for our customers. We have a shorter arrival window than most, as your time is just as important to us as ours is.
Upon arrival, we will discuss any concerns or wishes that you may have. We will then offer a free electrical inspection and assess the project at hand. Upon completion, we will explain the work that needs to be done along with providing an estimate.
For smaller jobs, we are typically able to complete the work at that time, if approved. For larger jobs, we schedule a date and time that is convenient for our customers.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Owner/Operator : Vocational School, Tech School and approximately 20 years in the electrical field.
Technicians: Most are journeyman or master's. We provide training throughout the year along with one-on-one's with each employee.
