Mr. Frampton has been tutoring me in Math (Algebra and Geometry)for a few years and I can say that he's definitely the best Math tutor I've ever had. When I first started working with him, I was terrible in math and didn't have any confidence in my abilities but he was patient with me and cared about making sure I succeeded. He's very knowledgeable and explains everything step by step in a way that I was able to understand. With his help, I've passed tests and received A's in my college courses in math. I've never failed with him and any time I need help in math, he's my go to person. His tutoring has given me the ability to believe that I can be successful in a subject that once wasn't one of my strong suits. Not only is he an excellent tutor, he's a nice person and has a great sense of humor. During our sessions, I would be stressed out but he always knows how to make me laugh and that would help to ease my mind. I would recommend him to anyone who is having difficulty in math.May 2, 2017Verified
Roger Frampton has been working with my son since last year tutoring him in Algebra II and Math Analysis. His services were worth every penny. My son's confidence and grades improved tremendously in both classes. I even received an email from his teacher noting the improvement. Mr. Frampton is always on time, brilliant in subject matter, and extremely professional. He is high in demand so I strongly recommend scheduling in advance. My son has thoroughly enjoyed working with Mr Frampton. Mr. Frampton's services were exactly what we were looking for and his tutoring style is a great fit for my son. If I could give more stars I would. Excellent experience!!Jan 29, 2017Verified
Fabulous Tutor! He explains things in a way that I can understand, and I passed my math final with ease! After many weeks of struggling and just 2 sessions with him prior to the exam, he made my life SO much easier!Jun 18, 2014Verified
We are pleased to recommend highly Dr. Frampton as a math tutor. We chose him because of his impressive resume and skills, not only in math, but also in the sciences. We hoped to develop a relationship with an expert in both math and science who we could call on to help our son during his high school years. We could not be more pleased. Our son found Dr. Frampton's style engaging. He distilled the subject matter to understandable terms and provided concrete examples of how to solve problems. He even scanned some problems and emailed them to us after the session because he did not have time to do so during their review. From a parent's perspective, I really liked hearing Dr. Frampton's assessment of my son's aptitude, the areas he felt needed attention and what he thought our son should do to nail his exam! Finally, I appreciated how Dr. Frampton worked with our schedule to maximize the time he could spend with our son prior to exams. We are sure that this will be a long and fruitful relationship for both of them.Jun 5, 2016Verified
Best tutor I have ever had. Dr. Frampton is the nicest, funniest guy and he seems to "unlock" the impossible mechanics of upper level math and science. An all around great person, he brightened my day and made me enjoy learning math. Thank you, Dr. Frampton!Jun 18, 2016
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Everyone pays the same - it's been $40 per hour for the past 8 years. Reduced rates for more than one person at a time (as long as they are covering identical material). People over the age of 85 get free tutoring......
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? There's a reason they contacted me, so I find out what they need right away. I make sure they are understanding what I try to explain to them. The only difference is, I back off on the humor until in my judgment they've been around me long enough to appreciate it.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Well, a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, 25 years teaching Chemistry at Community College, and (so far) about 9 years one-on-one tutoring in Math, Physics, Chemistry and Test Prep. (I also do English portions of the SAT, ACT, GMAT, etc.).
