Bait and switch crooks. I found this business on Thumbtack. I cracked my phone screen. I bought the replacement glass kit online for about $40. I sent "Electronica Overhaul" a photo of my phone, a link to the screen I purchased and description of what needs to be done. He said he can do it for $75. I drove from the oceanfront in Virginia Beach about 40 minutes and $6 toll each way to visit this business. The guy at the counter was baffled. Looked at me like I was crazy. When I presented my phone and glass kit, explaining how I happened to wander into his establishment. I shown him our conversation on thumbtack. He continued to be dumbfounded. I asked him if that was his address , photos and location in the thumbrack photos, his profile and our discussion. No answer. Just a look of utter confusion. While he stammered in confusion, I opened the glass kit which has everything for any layman to install the glass, including replacement glass, tools, instructions and accessories. He continued to be confused and said he needs to order me the glass and it will cost a few hundred dollars. I politely wished him A good day, and left. I drove to the phone medic near lynnhaven mall. He fixed my broken phone glass using the kit I handed him in about 15 minutes. He charged me $105. Wow.

You're a bald-face liar. No repair was done here. You never provided a photo of your phone. You lied about buying a ‘screen’; what you actually bought was a piece of glass, which is not a screen in any sense. You never showed the conversation in person because there was nothing to show. No one here was confused or unsure of what was being discussed. Everything you’ve said is a complete fabrication. For Samsung Galaxy S23, glass-only repair taking 15min is impossible. Most repair shops don’t offer this service.
Process involves disassembling device, heating display to soften adhesive, separating damaged glass using molybdenum wire or specialized separator machine, thoroughly removing residual OCA/LOCA adhesive, applying new OCA layer, laminating new glass with vacuum laminator, eliminating micro-bubbles in pressure chamber (autoclave), and finally reassembling device. Surely you never got it repaired or at least in the fashion you described. You're a liar.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If calling over the phone or messaging us, let us know the device's model and/or serial number beforehand. If unknown, bring your device at our shop. We'll create a ticket gathering your information. Give a description for what's wanted done service-wise: repair, upgrade, diagnostic, etc. If you're unsure what's wrong, then we can diagnose your device. For many cases, the source of the problem is very clear. After diagnostic, we'll call you back with a price quote. Some repairs are very quick, and some may take time depending on our part availability, parts suppliers, shipping options, complexity of the repair, etc.

Started at a young age disassembling and building devices, did ongoing research, went to college for Electrical and Computer Engineering, worked at other repair stores, and took all that experience and knowledge and now have own business.
