The concrete contractor notify me through the app on the morning of the scheduled job to let me know that he would have to to reschedule. I phoned him directly and in that discussion he increased the price from $1,000 to $1,600. It was stated that due to high demand and for some reason just at this moment he recognized that he needed to have a crew or get a concrete truck. I had sent him the exact dimensions and photographs of the job before the quote was given to me. In this conversation I gave him a chance to explain why he was notifying me so late in the game that now he needed to come see the job, and why was he actually increasing the price from $1,000 to $1,600 if he needed to see it. And why had he agreed to do the job on this day when we had discussed it several days ago, and he had been able then to give me a price that caused me to confirm him for the job on this day leaving me in the lurch. I would not recommend this person for your work, his concrete skills may be great but this was very unreliable and unprofessional quotation and breaking an agreed job date and price.
