I reached out to Carlos to repair a badly scratched/discolored headboard and to build missing parts for a huge, heavy bed that couldn't easily be moved from my house. He was incredibly responsive and came to my home almost every day for two weeks to patiently sand down, re-stain and repair the damage. He was meticulous about matching the color/finish and the bed feet he made were identical to the one original that I still had. I can't say enough about the quality of his work and the value he provided. I would happily work with Carlos again and highly recommend him.

I gave Carlos a very complex job of renovating a large antique Japanese tansu (a large chest). It involved removing all the (lots!, over 30 pieces) hardware, painting it black, repairing the locks that were frozen open, and reattaching each piece of hardware, finishing the front with Scotts Liquid Gold (rubbed in oil finish), painting top and sides, building a new back for the chest to enlarge it (antique chests commonly shrink on the sides) so that drawers that would not close now close beautifully. He was careful to plan the pickup and delivery with me so that I could reserve the freight elevator (high rise building). Overall a job done carefully and with careful communication to answer questions during the process.

I have a quartet of chairs that were so loose that sitting on them felt like sitting on a swaying gust of wind. Carlos knew exactly what needed to be done and now they are rock solid pieces of furniture on which I can be proud to seat guests. I almost forgot what a good chair felt like! Would absolutely hire Carlos again.

I asked Carlos to touch up a foot board and two side boards from a Pottery Barn bed, which were completely scratched up by my dog during his rambunctious puppy years. The results were amazing. I could not be more pleased. I did not have to purchase a new bed and the pieces looked brand new 😁.

Carlos refinished a teak outdoor dining set for us last fall and I should have left a review at that point. He was punctual, professional and worked hard to restore this set. It's a large table and 4 large chairs and he stabilized all the chairs, treated the teak to bring back the original color and then varnished the set. It's like new!
