Valerie was a pleasure to learn from during our private sewing class. She gave very clear instructions and shared several tips that will be helpful when I practice on my own. I'm a true beginner and Valerie was very patient and encouraging. I look forward to scheduling follow-up classes with her very soon!

I have worked with Meg for custom clothing projects and those are always amazing. Her upholstery skills are just as great as her clothing skills. She is professional and goal oriented. She works closely with clients to ensure that they receive the finished project of their dreams. Her skills in anything sewing related are so vast from clothing, high fashion, fancy umbrellas, couches, ottomans, window treatments and much more! Meg pays close attention to detail and is good with sticking to the deadlines you set for her. I will always be a return customer for the many services Meg offers!

Ivy has the patience of a Saint. I wanted sewing lessons for not just myself but for my two nieces. We had a wonderful time and the classes were a success for us all.

Wendy is a wonderful instructor. She also helps the child have confidence in his/her self. She offers encouraging support in addition to her tutoring skills. I have seen a child bloom from an underachiever to an above average student.

I had an intermediate level sewing class with Ms. Smith in April 2016. In my case, I wanted to learn how to tailor Butterick/McCalls' patterns (i.e., button-down shirts) to better fit me. Ms. Smith was very knowledgeable and patient in showing me what to do step-by-step and at my own pace. As a result, my sewing knowledge just got kicked up several levels in one 2-hour session. If you are looking for a sewing teacher (at affordable rates) for any level in the D.C. area, I would highly recommend her services. I plan to come back for more lessons in the future.
