FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The customer should know that I price my window treatments based on fabric/product, labor and installation all determined by style of the design and size of the window. We work from price groups starting at 001 and going as high as 100 and up.(wide range of prices) Often times things are on sale usually up to 25% or in some cases more. Things complementary to window treatments and the overall design of the space, such as lighting, layout, flooring, painting, etc. are usually provided as a service depending on the level of detail. If a fee is charged for these services normally is approximately for $75-$100 per hour depending on the level of detail. We accept checks and major credit cards.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer is to provide a complimentary 45 minute assessment of the project this allows the customer and I to meet and to establish a rapport with each other. This opportunity is twofold it gives the customer a chance to get a feel for me and it allows me a chance to determine if the project blends for me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've always had an interest in design, both my undergrad and graduate majors consisted of careers that related to design and creating beauty. My undergraduate study started out in fashion design and ended as Urban Affairs whereas, my graduate degree was in Urban Planning. That experience inspired me to be interested in architecture and interior design. I was introduced to interior decorating by a friend of my mother's who was a decorator for the Robert Kennedy family (Ethel Kennedy). She taught me to design window treatments and fabricate slipcovers. Since that time while in-between Planning positions I developed a second career and was later trained by the Trade, corporate companies and WCAA and ASID taking professional development classes and training.
