My husband and I hired a contractor to build a patio where there was a partial hill, and without our permission, his crew -rather than removing the soil, which is rocky, clay soil - used machinery to drive through (and kill) fully matured trees to deposit nearly 5 feet of soil and rocks onto the roots of a 75 foot tree - then compacted that soil. The large tree began to rot within a couple of weeks. We reached out to Mountaineer Land Solutions to save the tree and remove the immense amount of soil that was suffocating it. We found Matt and his crew to be incredibly knowledgeable and worked really, really hard to save our large tree - this included removing a great deal of soil and boulders by hand over the course of 3 days in order to prevent further damage to the tree. He also gave us recommendations to support the tree’s recovery over the subsequent months. Beyond that, Matt and his crew were kind, courteous, and trustworthy. Matt’s passion for what he does really shines through and we will be working with him on future projects."See more

Very responsive, great communication, punctual, FAIR pricing. I just bought this home, no yard work/upkeep had been done in the past 3 years. They cleaned up everything, edged it by hand, trimmed up bushes and mulched. Looks amazing. They didn’t skimp on the mulch either. It’s nice and thick. I won’t be shopping around for a landscaper anymore. By far the best priced one around and honest. I’m extremely happy!

We reached out to Marvin’s Landscaping to obtain a quote for mulching, edging and removal of 6 boxwoods and 4 junipers. We had not mulched last year so we had areas that were bare and all the edging needed to be done. Also, we wanted several mulch beds improved and expanded. Marvin contacted me within a couple hours and came to see our yard that same day. He was professional and knowledgeable in what was needed, and spent plenty of time discussing the project. He sent me a quote for the project by the end of the day. (I did obtain two other quotes over the next 2 days). I selected Marvin for several reasons: his professional approach to the project, his pricing was fair for the scope, he was able to schedule the job within 5 days, and he gave a verbal guarantee of satisfaction. Jose came out on the date I specified and did a great job cleaning and mulching my beds except work done to repair my lawn did not take because inferior product and soil was used. I redid the areas with a different soil and product and grass is growing in.

Marvin and his crew were excellent. Responsive, helpful, and did beautiful work. He added edging for us, trimmed and pruned bushes, removed all the debris, and mulched.
