Terrible. Run the other way! I called to schedule an appt with Kim Condon for a home consultation. She could come on a weekend. I couldn't do the weekend. She reculantly set up an appointment the next week during a week day afternoon. She said she could be there between 5 or 5:30. She said she was working on setting a bedtime for her 6 month old so we had better not set it right at 5:00. First clue. On the day of our appt. no one showed up. I called and spoke with Kim the next day. She said she had started calling me on Friday and had even texted me. Wow. She didn't know if I did text or not...not sure if I was up to speed on that. She had my number wrote down incorrectly. She doesn't have caller id? Knowing she had not touched base with me to change the appointment.....no one still did not show up for the appointment. You would think someone from the company would show up if they wanted to clean my house. Does this sound like a company you want to clean your house? Will they show up? Be on time? Do a good job when they obviously don't care about customer service or you.

In response to the above review: I am Kim with Godsend Cleaning and take great pride in our business and customer care. I did set a meeting with Donna and was not going to be able to make it as my sister and her family were coming into town unexpectedly. The moment I learned of this, I called Donna, tried many times and even texted her to reschedule our meeting. It turned out I inverted 2 numbers and was calling the wrong number. We all make mistakes and I feel bad about not being able to get a hold of her before our set meeting. I did not realize the mistake until she called me this morning quite angry about me missing our meeting last night. I apologized but then was received with a lecture and hung up on. As I was unable to communicate the situation with her , I felt I needed to respond here and be able to explain. Above she spoke about my son who is 6 months old. I also have a 5 year old and yes, do need to work around their schedules and needs. We are a family business out to help other families have more time and energy to spend with one another and to do what they want to do. Cleaning house helps this and takes that off their to do list. We have been in business 13 years and have excellent references. Please take the time to look us up online and see what other people have to say who have actually used our service. This is the best name for this cleaning service b/c it has truly been a "Godsend" in my life. When I first used Godsend Cleaning over 5+ years ago, I was newly back in town and facing a nightmare after moving from a 4 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home - huge - with all the amenities into a much smaller condo in the Forest, VA, area. I did not even want to let Kim Condon into the place, but, after talking to me briefly on the phone, Kim insisted on coming right over and the rest if history! She solved my immediate cleaning needs within a few days and then set me up on a cleaning schedule that made sense for the additional organization that I still needed to do. B/c I travel frequently, Kim was flexible and adjusted the schedule for me when necessary. But, by far, the main reason for the high rating is b/c of the cleaning itself. When I come home after a cleaning, the place SHINES and SPARKLES in ways that would take me a week of cleaning, if then, and Kim's highly trained staff knows how to take care of in hours. I have used several different Godsend "cleaners" over the years and the results are always the same and always impressive. If you are still skeptical, let me tell you: there have been countless times that I have left the house saying to myself, "Why am I paying for this when I could stay here and do it myself?" only to return home and thank my lucky stars that I was smart enough to realize that there is NO WAY that I could give my home such a professional look in that same amount of time. If ever! I have now moved to a home in the historic district with special cleaning needs all its own and I continue to be impressed with my cleaning service - EVERY TIME! The pricing is fair and consistent and well worth every dime. What are you waiting for? Don't you have something better to do than clean? And don't YOU deserve to live in the cleanest home possible? Give yourself this treat and you too will be amazed at the results.

We hired Godsend for a "deep clean" of my brother's house and we are so pleased with their work that we plan to use them regularly going forward. We did extensive research before making a hiring decision and we are so fortunate to have found them. My brother had an emergency hospitalization and my sister and I, who both live out of town, needed someone we could trust to come in and quickly "deep clean" my brothers house on a holiday weekend before he got home from the hospital. Kim worked around my travel schedule and arranged to have Faith, one of her fabulous team members, work all day Saturday to get the house in shape. Ive used many cleaners in the past and I have to say, this firm is the best Ive ever worked with. I just wished they operated in South Carolina! My brother will be continuing our new relationship with Godsend on a regular basis going forward. When you find people who are fair, reliable and you can trust to come into your home, even when you arent physically there, you know youve found a great company.

Kim has been cleaning for us almost 4 yrs.....she is very accomodating & is very good screening the people she hires...which is a very difficult job!....Kim is very accomodating also if you have any concerns and/or problems....quick to resolve and make right....we wouldn't want anyone else to be our helpers.....thank you Kim and Tim:)

Ask if they are licensed and insured and get them to show you the paper work . Meet them in person and ask if they charge for an estimate. (note: they shouldn't) Ask for references and make sure to call them to see what people have to say about their work. Talk details and make sure they know what your needs are and exactly what you are looking for. Search online, use the phone book, ask friends and family for a reference. Interview at least 3 different companies to compare.
