Rob helped me with a few tasks around the house and he was great! Tasks ranged from cutting a hole in the drywall for access to a closed up phone jack to mounting TV/shelving on walls. He was very professional, quick to come out and incredibly friendly. Both times he came out with quick, efficient and clean. I would definitely recommend Rob to anyone who needs help with various handy work around the house in the future!
This is my first time using Thumbtack and honestly, I am really satisfied with water heater installation from Walter. Our Water heater was leaking (19 years old) and needed immediate replacement since it was leaking. I was calling all over for the contractors for prices and they all ranged over $1000. Also, other contractors were willing to charge extra fees and unnecessary county code. Walter was professional and very kind. He explained in details about the water heaters and purchasing county code is not necessary. He also showed up at home depot 7 in the morning and picked all the necessary parts and water heater. All I needed to do was to make the purchase. Also, he delivered water heater to my home AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. He finished the work in a timely manner and cleaned up well. I am REALLY satisfied with his service. Walter is going to my plumber and I am going to introduce him to my friends and neighbours. His labour cost is very affordable and reasonable compare to other contractors. I was able to save hundreds of dollars in labour cost. Overall you will never regret hiring Hi solution and Walter is the guy. He is a licensed contractor.
It was great working with Antonio during the renovation of the basement for one of my clients. He cares about the quality of his work and also went beyond the call of duty and beyond our expectations in several areas of the project to ensure the solidarity of the job and potential hazards in the future. The home we worked on was aged and had alot of existing issues. As a designer, I will work with him again. My client and I are both pleased.
David and his crew were very professional. They built a new wall, installed a door and finished all drywall for our renovated bathroom and linen closet. David was very accommodating and paid attention to our special needs, double checking specifics with us along the way. He was very easy to work with and super nice. We are super happy with the results!
Leonardo is honest and reasonable in his pricing - he is conscientious and diligent in his efforts to do a good job and always makes sure you are satisfied - if there is an issue, it's typically minor and he always takes the time to correct it to your satisfaction. His work ethic is strong and he works tirelessly, often well beyond normal working hours, to finish a job on time. There is, on rare occasion, a minor language barrier but if you take your time it is always manageable. Leonardo cleans up after himself and puts his tools away before leaving for the day - he is not always on time but he is very good about letting you know he is running late, usually via text. I would definitely rate him as a 5 star contractor. He did all the tile work, some drywall and all the framing in our basement project to date and plans to help us with the last few things as we complete the project.
I had a gas fireplace installed two years ago. Another contractor did the basic frame and sheetrock around the fireplace but didn't finish the job. Jenrri met with me in person to assessed the job and give a quote for the work. Jenrri was pleasant and professional and my two Westies both liked him. If they didn't like him I wouldn't have hired him. He said the front area around the firebox would need to have the sheetrock replaced with cement board. I was glad he knew this because not having the right materials could be a fire hazard. After meeting with him. I decided to hire him and planned for him to come Feb. 16-19, 2016 to do this job. He did this job with another worker named Melby. Jenrri and I had to buy materials from the store the first day, but Melby stayed and started working. He removed the sheetrock and also cut boards for the shiplap look I wanted on the upper front and sides of the fireplace. Jenrri and Melby completed cutting and installing about half of the boards the first day. They laid tile on the hearth and around the firebox. I had picked large tiles for the hearth and small tiles to go around the firebox. The small tiles took more time to cut and install. Some of the tile around the firebox doesn't lay completely flat because of the screws for the cement board and because the framing around the firebox wasn't level. If I had to pick again I would have picked larger tiles to go around the firebox. They would have been easier to install and wouldn't have shown that the firebox wasn't completely level. After the tile and boards were installed they painted all the boards and the two walls on each side of the fireplace. Then installed the mantle and touched up the painting. They did a very nice job cleaning up when the work was done and even put furniture and a rug back in place. They also completed the job on time. I am happy with my finished fireplace. It looks beautiful. Both Jenrri and Melby work hard and do a good job. Maybe if Jenrri did the whole project instead of finishing someone else's work it would have been perfect. I would hire him again and I would recommend him to others.
Marvin and his colleague arrive right on time on a Sunday morning with one day's notice to install a sliding glass shower door after a previous contractor has botched the job. They installed it efficiently and were very professional. We would certainly use them again for another job. After I posted a review elsewhere, I heard back that they were hired for another last minute job and completed that job to the customer's satisfaction.
Roofing, door installation and garbage disposal . Very nice, knowledgeable and professional . Very satisfied with job
We absolutely loved working with José and his team to tile our basement floor with ceramic wood-looking tile, expose a brick wall, and install new toilet and a wall-mounted sink. He works FAST and within budget. Extra things we needed done were added at very reasonable extra expense ($40-60 to repair an unexpected drywall hole behind a mirror). His team does beautiful work, and José made sure every bit of trash or demo material was taken away. They also went above and beyond to make things look nice. For example, I don't think they charged me extra when they plastered around our baseboards and it looks soooo much better! They also patched a little hole left by a past electrician's job. They took extra good care of our space as if it was their own home. We also like that he respected our desire to further finish our space ourselves ( we are ok with doing our own painting). I can't say enough good things. We will definitely hire José and Brandon Contracting for our next job.
Currently finishing up laying tile in my basement. Looks great. Detail oriented. Worked with our schedule. I would recommend Matt to anyone!
Mr Ingram repaired the water damaged drywall in our basement and did some electrical work also. Mr. Ingram is very skilled in his craft. We are pleased with his work.
Jorge did an awesome job on my staining and painting project. Bonus points for working around the other contractors who were putting in pavers and fixing concrete work on site. I feel I got an excellent price. And finally I was impressed that he kept me updated. He did everything right. Great job. Will call again.
Our experience with Mr. James and his team was very pleasant. All of the guys were very knowledgeable and professional. They handled all permits and inspections necessary to complete the project. We noticed an infestation of mold growth in one of our properties. We were already contemplating remodeling this area of the basement anyway. We decided to not only remediate the mold but also to hang new drywall throughout the entire basement, install about 13 recessed lights with smart motion switches, slate tile flooring, and rough in and install a full bath in the space. James came in and offered my husband and I a lot of different options to reach our desired goal beyond the mold remediation. He also did the bathroom design, and suggested some beautiful tile combinations and we loved them all. In short we decided to go with James to do the work and the project went flawless. Very professional, clean within reason during a renovation, and very organized and personable. He kept us informed at every stage and there were no surprises. They completed the project in about10 days including county inspections. James followed up with us a month after the job was completed to make sure that everything ok. Great customer service!! We will definitely be using Unlimited Resources in the near future and have recommended James and his team to several people already.
Naser was great. He was on time, fixed our problems while only doing a estimate walk-thru, and didn't charge us anything. We insisted on giving him $50 because now we no longer need a plumber. Our big issues were the garbage disposal and leaky toilet. He found a tiny drill bit in the garbage disposal left over from kitchen contractors and fixed our toilet on the spot.
Curtis and his team put in a new bathroom and laundry room in our basement. Their work was fantastic, and they were a pleasure to work with. We would definitely hire them again, and in fact already have another project in mind.
We hired Shane to add a bedroom in our already finished basement. He won the bid on price, but also because he had really good ideas about how to reconfigure the space, which made it much more useful, and also attractive. He added a built-in shelf to one area, which is really beautiful and enhances the space tremendously. Based on Shane's work in the basement, we hired him to tear a wall out in our dining room, and add a door to another room in order to create a home office. We are planning to continue with more renovations, and intend to hire J&S for everything. They are easy to work with, and communicate clearly about changes of scope, and any issues that come up. We are very happy with the quality of the work as well.
The J-Team has done 2 projects for me. A finished basement (1500 sq ft, 3 bedrooms, 2 bath) and a complete single family home (approx. 2000 sq ft). Both jobs were OUTSTANDING! Trustworthy, punctual, detailed and reasonably priced are words I would use to describe the J-Team. The only person I'll use.
If you’re in need of a reliable, honest and get-it-done general contractor for your home remodeling needs, Al and his crew are the GO TO GUYS! We recently had a rather large basement remodel project where we took an unfinished space (approx.. 900 sq. feet) to a home office/ dental laboratory finish. There were a lot of moving parts involved – all new electrical/ mechanical/ plumbing; installation of egress & small sliding window(s), walk-out door w/ retaining walls and pavement; added bathroom & work/equipment room. Al took the design plans from a paper to presence, and really worked with us to stay on time and on budget. From the initial consultation, he took his time to go over details of the project and provide us with a written proposal on the spot. What was also appreciated was that he used upgraded materials rather than standard builder supplies, which really makes a huge difference in appearance! Al and his guys are meticulous, detailed & very clean – at the end of each work day, the floors were always swept & materials put away. Another consideration for us was trust since my husband & I weren’t home during the day. I can say with complete confidence that you can trust Premier Home Services to do their job, in your home without supervision. We will definitely use them again for our next home project. Thanks Al!
The job is finishing a basement with full bath and renovating some of the kitchen. Greg, the contractor. showed up professionally to the location. I knew he was the best candidate between other four contractors. He kept making sure and asking all necessary questions to cover all the details for almost a week before he sent his proposal. Once I hired him, he followed the official and proper procedures for the permit and work to do the job. He maintained the place cleaned, secured and organized. He made sure to install and do proper and bring the building up to code. He discuss and make sure both the contractor and the owner of the job on the same page before any change of order up to some changes during the work. He tries to fix or solve any issues whether a modification from the city or something hasn't been installed properly from his subs. He is great trusted person. He is finishing the job. I believe it will turned to be great result and satisfaction. As I am homeowner and investor, I recommend him for both, his cost is reasonable comparing to his finishing results and work.
Malak construction bid on finishing my basement and was awarded the work, these guys came in with a big crew and purchased all the materials day one, they executed the work thoroughly and and in an efficient matter, their prices were very competitive and the management was good throughout the execution and last but not least the communication was great. I will certainly be calling these guys again.
Rewired the basement bathroom and dropped a box in the laundry room. Flexible with his schedule to accommodate our needs.
