Mark B. says, "Our home inspection indicated several issues with the attic insulation. We interviewed a few companies and were deeply impressed by Capital Insulation. Karl and Jonathan are true experts. They undertook a thorough review of the entire attic structure, including not just the insulation but also the venting and overall construction, and identified several issues. They carefully documented every aspect of the proposed project and walked us through the recommendations. It was precise and thorough and gave us great confidence in their expertise. As the project got underway, there were several structural challenges - and with each one, they found a way to remediate and fully address it. The end result is excellent. The house has immediately felt warmer and, because they also added insulation to the walls where needed, the overall soundproofing in the house is greatly improved. We have previously done an insulation project in another home. The difference in approach and execution was night and day. If you just want someone to take out old insulation and pump in some new stuff, go with anyone. If you want experts who understand how homes are constructed and every detail of how insulation should be installed for the strongest results, call Capital Insulation. On a personal note, Karl and Jonathan and their team are awesome to work with. They are kind, honest, and very approachable. The team arrived on time and worked diligently all day, taking extremely good care with rugs, floors, etc, and leaving everything in great condition. Truly a 10 out of 10 on every measure. Pam O. says, "Minor water damage on our bathroom ceiling indicated a roof leak. We determined the water was coming in through the roof vent pipe and that the pipe collar needed replacing. Thomas responded quickly to my request for a bid with what I felt was a fair price for the work. We arranged a time for him to come to the house. Before the appointed time, he sent a msg letting us know he was on his way. Having been in commercial project mgmnt for 15 yrs, I am familiar with how to correctly flash and seal roof stack pipes. Thomas removed the damaged collar, added a water/ice shield, replaced shingles were needed, and applied sealant where needed. He worked quickly and cleanly. Thomas has thorough knowledge of roofing systems and applications and is clearly experienced in repairing roofs. His business model is to focus on roof inspections and repairs. He does not install roofs. This allows him to charge a reasonable fee that businesses that are primarily roof installation companies are unable to do - there is a cost to take a person of an installation crew in order to do a small roof repair. The price for the work was in line with what I felt was fair. Highly recommend Thomas with Nova CS for roof repairs and/inspections."See more
